Your parents help you set it up! That NES Zelda commercial has got to be the worst piece of advertising on the planet.

Yeah, that was the hilarious American advert for Zelda. The Japanese one is even more disturbing than 'rapping nerd kid head bopping to bully playing game'! True story!

I think they're funny.  I have the one where they're dancing on my computer.  That's one of my favorite commercials of all time.

A bit of an update:  The friend of my husband who had said he was getting a ps2 instead of a gc has changed his mind.  I had told him that using a ps2 as your dvd player may not be the best choice as it may not last long enough to really get any benefit.  He is at my house right now and just informed me that he went to eb and was told the same thing.  He actually admitted I was right that the gc is a very high quality system that will most likely never break down.  It looks as though he will getting a gc shortly.  YAY! I win!

hes still around, mostly on MSN, he ran out his 3gig DL limit for the month, and our cable provider instead of charging more cuts us down to the equivilent of 28.8 speed, so yeah PGC doesn't really load for him *points and laughs*

*tongue out at you PIAC*  You can go ahead and point and laugh at me too.  I count myself lucky if I can get on with a 28.8 speed.  I have super stinky-ulgy dial-up.  I am working on getting sattelite DSL, but I need to remind my mother to call them again, for maybe the 50th time.

But, good, as long as Mario isn't running away back to the Mushroom Kingdom.

Mario's still here.

Oh, and I finished Metroid Prime on Tuesday night! Yeehaaaaw!
I go over to Mario's place on Wednesday, and guess what?
We play Sega Soccer Slam, and whoa! This game rocks! Go Angus! You gotta love those Scots. And when he scores a goal, there's a thumping techno remix of the 'you take the high road and I'll take the low road'! HAhahahahaha.
And you guys already knew it was me when i talked to you on msn on Mario's PC.

But that's not all. I get to keep Metroid Prime for a while longer! Time for Hard Mode! And in return for Jet Force Gemini and Super Monkey Ball 2, I now have a GBA to play Zelda and F-Zero! Thanks Mario! Yipee!
So far, I've gotten two pendants, the Book of Mudora (or something), the dash attack, a bottle, and the ice wand!
One thing about A Link to the Past though, is that having played Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask and Wind Waker, you kinda take the targeting for granted. And there's so many things in ALttP that are in OoT, MM and WW, like Kakariko Village, Lake Hylia, and bloody hell, how many times has that sand snake boss been done? It's in ALttP, OoT, MM AND WW! Geez! It's kinda frustrating not being able to aim at the right spot. And Link sounds exactly the same as in OoT! Is that something they did for the GBA version or has that been like that? Those birds are annoying. They move too fast.

Oh, and playing the GBA for long periods of time screws up your left thumb BAD. Really. I think i got blisters or soemthing.

Nintendo should make a higher D-Pad for the both their next console and handheld. Or maybe a small joystick!

Well, that's my rant for the week.
See you all on MSN.

Termin8: The thumb thing is too true.
I can crack my left thumb with ease sometimes. It's the only finger I can do. Meh.

And Mario? He went mad.
But he's always been mad.

That snake boss took me almost a DAY of CONSTANT playing to beat when I was a wee monkey playing it on SNES. I swear, I was the crappiest gamer back then.

And yeah, they added the semi-speech for Link in the GBA port. He used to make a girly "HWA!" when he got hit in the original, that was it.

Hopefully I'll be able to log into MSN in a half hour or so. My Internet can't handle the "stress" of downloading something and trying to log in AT THE SAME TIME! GASP! *EXPLOSION*

Link has the same kind of "semi-speech' in Soul Calibur 2, which is very nice.  Other characters talk, but Link just grunts and does it battle cries.  Nice of Namco to keep him in character.

What snake boss are ya'll talking about?  The one where you have to hit the tail as it slithers around the platform trying to knock you off, or the one that dives in and out of the sand?

PIAC, did you ever play Mario Party, and play the mini-games where you have to rotate the control stick as quickly as possible? My friend and I had this trick, where you do it in the palm of your hand.
Needless to say, it hurt REALLY bad after a while, and his was quite worse than mine. Like bleeding. Meh.

... Both?
I dunno, I didn't actually have too much trouble with the sand snake, but that first one was a real bitch. THAT was the one that took me like a day to beat. I had to mute the TV after a while. The "waohohohwooo" noise that played when Link fell down the holes was driving me insane.

Mini golf ey? Did you manage to break one of the novelty courses? I'd love to do a Happy Gilmore and smash the crap out of something at a mini golf course.

Happy Gilmore is a classic, probably my fave Adam Sandler movie.

Adam Sandler's movies are just plain funny and good.
I love Happy Gilmore the best, then Wedding Singer, then Billy Madison (when Bridgette Wilson was still single, therefore sexier - especially in that 'strip history lesson' ), then Waterboy, then Mr Deeds then Little Nicky.

Oh, and after i was got my first haircut since birth, i dropped by EB in Bankstown Sqaure, and guess what?
They had a copy of Burnout 2!

If you (Mario or Infernal ) want that copy, rush down to Bankstown Sqaure!

Nitsu and Infernal: There's ANOTHER sand snake boss in ALttP???

Man, trying to get up Death Mountain is frustrating.

And geez! Whats with this weird mirror thing? I turned into a bunny! And there's these two guys stuck in that uber Hyrule, a  demon fella and a guy that's a ball..............heehee!

And when exactly does Metroid get HARD? I just got the Space Jump and Wave Beam....doesn't seem too hard.
I guess it starts getting harder when there are enemies that FIGHT BACK....like the Pirate's facilities on Phendrana Drifts?
