I know Rock has won some matches in recent years, but his results when the belt is on the line don't scream "legend".

Come on, guys.  Let's try to remember that wrestling is pre-determined, and that any wrestler's record, belt or no, CAN'T be what constitutes a legend.  It's the overall contribution to the business, which is why The Rock is as deserving as anyone.  Regardless of how you personally feel about him, he puts asses in seats and gets MAINSTREAM attention, and that alone makes him worthy.

I do agree - it has more to do with the wrestler's personality and character development than actual success. But I still feel the Rock is over-rated, despite what everyone else says. He's more of a Hollywood actor than a wrestler IMO.

So he deserves to just drop by whenever he pleases, to say hi and spout general nonsense about jabronies and cookin at Wresltemania? Sure. When he was a full-time wrestler, he was worthy of it. But now I just don't agree.
The WWE is the now the most popular wrestling league around. It's not like a few years ago when the WCW/NWO stole superstars and ratings from them. It's no longer so cut-throat when it comes to ratings etc. I don't know how fast the WM event sold out but I think it would have been a sellout without the Rock's sudden appearance and challenge to Evolution. The Triple Threat Heavyweight Title match and the Lesnar/Goldberg/Austin match alone would have drawn the crowds.

Let me just poll this small group - what do you expect will result of the Triple threat match? My opinion is that Benoit WILL NOT win (i've been hearing rumours about it), and my horrible gut feeling is that HHH will again retain the title. Thoughts?

Jeze Shifty , if you and I didnt see differently on the Rock then I am betting me and you would be best friends.

Me and U could go on talkin bout wrestling forever. Because I too believe HHH will win the match at Wrestlmania , and that Benoit will win the title in his hometown at Backlash.

By the way ...do any of you actually like Benoit ? ...I mean ...to me he is an O.K wrestler but I dont believe he is being pushed the right way. I mean if the WWE wanted the crowd to get behind Benoit they should put him up against HHH and HHH only. HBK is the leading face on Raw and the crowd dont seem to be loving Benoit at the moment.

Akdaman: I have a feeling that HHH will be taking a break after WM, which gives the cue for Benoit to turn heel and push on the saga with Michaels after WM. Seems to be the logical path - however I'm not sure whether HHH is taking a break or not...

Honestly I see HBK turning heel , Ever since Benoit arrived he has been slowly changing.

Also I dont think HHH will take a leave ,  I believe there is no need for it seeing as he hasnt wrestled in a proper match for over a month , Im sure he has healed up from whatever injury he might of had.

At the moment I am loving Raw but cannont stand this 3 way main event. Wrestlemania XX should have been HHH/HBK ...again.

Benoit can fued with anyone, I dont see him as a BIG draw for the buisness like many of the past champions were. Guerreo on the other hand has a massive fanbase and IS A MAJOR draw.

P.S - What trades do you think should be made to make Raw and Smackdown a more even show ?

Im thinking that after Wrestlmania XX evoloution should break up and Batista and RVD should move over to Smackdown in trades for Edge.

Or I feel the Undertaker/Kane fued should be moved over to Smackdown.

What do you all think ?

Interesting thing that I noticed in recent weeks regarding Michaels going heel.  Did you see that he's stopped wearing his Christian-themed shirts since he started this feud?  If that's not a "tell" (in poker parlance), I don't know what is.  That's almost as much of a giveaway as the "evil goatee".

I don't know about the whole "Source of Strength" thing (I didn't see Raw this week and will miss seeing Wrestlemania on Monday because of work ;_____; ) - maybe it was just in the wash

And the evil goatees are awesome! We seriously need more of them nowadays!

Rumour Mill: The ECW is apparently being revived, with Heyman being 'sacked' and rebelling to lead the revived league.

Oh God Wrestlemania is a few days away, I feel bad for you Shifty, call in sick or break your foot.

You must not miss Wresltmania. Its gonna be AWSOME!!!

The RETURN OF THE DEADMAN !!!

EDIT *** I have some bad news ...Brock Lesner is leaving the WWE after Wrestlemania , he is apparently being burned by the schedual and very pissed about having to go to South Africa only to wrestle Hardcore Holly.

I wish Brock good in his carrer in the NFL ( where he is going to ) ...good luck Brock.

O.K Wresltemania is over and Im ....Happy.

I thought they were gonna screw everything up ...and they did ...but only to a small degree.

I mean Undertaker is the freaking same ...He has freaky music and a cowboy hat ? WTF ? ....Since when did the Deadman wear a tanktop ? ...there match was good ...nothing speacial...but good enough.

Rock came back and he put up an Awsome fight ...too bad he lost. ( Oh and Foley is there )

And time for my Award cerimonie -

Best Match - Christian v Jericho - This was totaly unexpected and really was off the charts ...Christian was in good form and the pace of the match never really slowed down ...which is good.

Honourable mentions - Rock & Sock v Evouloution and Triple Threat match

Worst match of the night - Evening Gown match - There was no point to this, and I find it a little stupid that Ms.Jakie was proud to show off her tits a few weeks ago yet is unwilling to show off her bra ?

Honorable mentions - Molly v Vic

Biggest Dissapoinment - Brock and Goldberg - I was really anticipating this match , I was expecting big moves and hard fists and an all out war , yet nothing really happened in the match...I barley even remember it ...I fell asleep.

Honourable mentions - Crusierweigth open and Undetaker.

Rating out of 10 - 9.7 - It was good and some matches were ...unexpected ( the victories ).

Well I got to see WMXX in the end *coughsickcough*
Good night all in all. Apart from the fact my friend's Foxtel decided to die on the day and we had to race to another place to catch the start because of the absence of Foxtel service!

Undertaker's return is his old-school "Preacher" threads - the hat is just his signature pre-bikeriding - his ropewalking he tried in the match is another throwback to those days. Is it just me or is Paul Bearer getting even wider these days? Is that even possible?

And you fell asleep towards the end? Boo! The triple threat match was the best of the night, with everyone willing Benoit on to defeat HHH. Good times to see him tap out and finally lose!

And Trish turning heel! Woo! I didn't see that coming when she interfered, but Woo!

Goldberg/Lesnar was a let-down, good to see them get stunnered in the end. Even the fans knew it was the end and started up the "Na Na Nana" chant.

Rocko/Socko wasn't that great IMO. We were just making jokes about Flair belonging in "Weekend at Bernies" or in a Thunderbirds match. ^_____^

Cruiserweight Invitational was ugly because they kept on stuffing up moves - considering how acrobatic some of those guys are, a little bit of leeway was given. Rey Rey in the Flash costume was a highlight - and he was denied again. Boo!

No I meant I pretty much fell asleep in the Goldberg/Lesner match.

I just watched Wresltemania for the 2nd time and that Triple threat match seemed even better this time through.

And although I have a slight idea on what happens on Raw I wont say.

If you know dont ruin it for us ppl from Australia.

But I will say one thing ...its about bloddy time.

WHOA who watched this weeks Raw and Smackdown ?

Things are being shaken up quite a bit ...I dont really care what happens with the draft ...except I want Orton and Cena on the same brand ...that would be an AWSOME fued in my opinion.

I've gotten back into watching wrestling a little bit, usually watching a bit of Smackdown on the weekends if I have nothing to do.  Can someone tell me what's with Kurt Angle being the Smackdown general manager?  Did he really break his leg or just part of an angle?  I miss watching him wrestle in the ring.

This question is probably not important, but I am wondering, why did Raw's timeslot change from Tuesdays to Fridays?  To me, that's stupid.

No the leg is fake. But he injured his neck (again) and has had surgery.

He will be wrestling again around August. The story going is that Big Show chokeslammed angle off a 25 ft ledge and that Angle will never wrestle again.

Too me the whole issue is screwed. Angle isnt comfortable as GM. It doesnt suit him.

AiAi - Watch RAW. It gets better every week. Right now they have Kane as #1 contender. They also have major fueds involving HHH v HBK and Christian v Jericho.

Thanks for all that info akadaman!

When I said "Know who broke it?", I meant in terms of the angle!  Sad to hear he had neck surgery.

BTW, why the hell is HBK back?  I thought he retired for good b/c of back problems?

He's been back since the middle of last year. Guess his back is alright, because he's been feuding with HHH ever since. Its getting a bit predictable, but at least HHH is still a heel, instead of trying to be funny by talking to pot plants and the like! ^_^

And HHH is still planning to make a movie, ak. I can post the link but I can't be bothered right now.

AiAi - In my post I answered your question. Big Show broke his leg. It looked really brutal.

Shifty - Yeah HHH is making Blade : Trinity and Konan. He might be alright.

O.K so The Rock is back. Who thinks its for good?

I wanna know what you guys think of these wrestlers.

Jericho - I love him. He is my favourite wrestler. Funny and can elevate even the crappest wrestlers.
Christian - I too love Christian. He has become my favourite heel. I see him as the HHH of the future.
Randy Orton - I have always loved this guy. Everyone bagged me saying he sucked. They all shut up after Backlash.
Booker T - WWE need to make him the top heel on Smackdown.
JBL - Die JBL. You can wrestle. Your gayyy.
Benoit - I personnaly hate Benoit. He just doesnt seem that great to me.
HHH - I believe that HHH is awsome. Although I really wanna see him in a fued that isnt HBK or for the title.
John Cena - He will be the BIG star along with Orton in the future.

and most importantly

Renne Dupree - I love this guy. He is awsome. I really want them to build Renne up into a HUGE star.

Who do you all think will lead the company in 3-5 years time?

I believe that Cena/Orton/Jericho/Christian will become the new HHH/Rock/Taker/Austin. In 5+ years time Dupree will be the next BIG thing.

I haven't seen much of Renne Dupree, but I like what I've seen so far.  He reminds me of Kurt Angle during his first year in the fed!  The guy is good as a hell; badmouthing America just like Kurt did!  Pure GOLD!
