so if i only use the game as a 1 player game will it be worth while to play the game through a couple of times?  say with 1 of each race?

There's not really any reason to play separate games with each race.  Actually, once all the dungeons open up, the way it's structured, the only difference starting a new game would make is making those original dungeons easier.  I think that if you wanted to mess around with a variety of characters, the best thing would be to create multiple characters and alternate them so that they all stay at about the same strength. -- Of course that will make them all considerably weaker and have you replaying levels more before you can beat the last bosses.

Super Mario 35: It would probably be best to base your questions on the things we've described already.  Asking about random random features from other games, just complicates things.  It's like me asking if Mario gets a better sword in Mario RPG even though no one ever mentioned swords in the first place.

ok i heard this on another forum.  Is there any way i could use a gcn/gba link cable with my gameboy player (GCN) and hook it up to ffcc like it was a GBA.  Of course i would use a seperate tv but would it work?  I mean it is basically making my cube into a gba right?  I know that this method is costy but i already have a GCN and a Gameboy Player plus I have a Intec mobile screen so this would really benefit me to buy another GBA.

no, no you can't... you could if you had two cubes, turn one into a glorafied GBA using a GBP and have a second GCN running FFCC, you would still need two tvs and more gbas or cube/gbp set ups for other people.
OUT OF DATE.

Ok I wont do it again. Can you ride anything in this game or does it all pertain to walking?

Thats what i meant, use 2 cubes, 1 using its gba player to connect to another cube that has final fantasy playing.   So in other words yes i would have my cube turned into a glorified cube with its own intec mobile screen!  Would that work?  It sounds like it should but im not sure.

All walking, except for the ship, which you don't control.   You get on, tell the captain where you're going, and pay the fee.

Absolutely.  I covered this back in my Game Boy Player FAQ.  You just hook the whole setup into a second Cube, just as you described.

What happens when one of the players dies? Can the group keep going with out them? Does everyone have to go back o the last save?

Well, if someone dies then they turn into a ghost.  Another player can use a phoenix down or a raise spell to bring them back.

This would work if you had two GameCubes.

To elaborate, dead players can't do anything except drop items and "Wave" (taunt).  I have seen cases where enemies kept trying to attack ghosts, oddly enough, so the Wave may have something to do with that.  If no one has Life or Phoenix Downs, the ghost can simply follow the other players until someone is able to bring him back to life.  However, he will have to keep walking because the game has no problem with leaving him offscreen.

wow i just saw ign's review.  They gave it like a 7 out of 10!  And they kept dogging on the game it sounds really bad in the review.  I know IGN are a bunch of morons seeing how they gave Dead or Alive Beach Volley ball a 9.0 score but the review still sounds very bad.  Now im really confused at how good the game really is.  Hey PGC i cant find a review anywhere please give me a link to the PGC reviews  of this game.

Ehh... i think peoples expectations of the return of Final Fantasy was just too high; it probably is good, but not as good as people thought it would be.

I got a question, is the single player experience better than phantasy star online's single player?  Thats the only game I can really compare it too since they were both made with multiplayer in mind.

I haven't played PSO really, but I think FFCC is very comparable to it in terms of single-player and multiplayer.  The gameplay is also pretty similar, with hack-and-slash stuff enhanced by the fact that you're playing with other people.

This is why I love Penny Arcade. Today's rant is all about the IGN review. It's hillarious. Down with the MAN!

Oh please stop.  It hurts so much to hear you constantly asking about clothing.  I've already told you all there is to know.  Has FFX-2 ruined the minds of our youth?

A miller grinds grain.  I'm really not so sure where it gets you in the game though.  I went with sensible families like blacksmiths and merchants.

Why don't you finally read the review? That's already addressed there.
