Castlevania

Hey has there been any news on any forthcoming Castlevania games on the GBA?  I've probably already missed some news on this, but I'm slow with jumping on the bandwagon.
I've gotta say what I've gotta say, and then I swear I'll go away, but I can't promise you'll enjoy the noise.

i dont think so
the only castlevania games on the gba are the ones that have been released thus far- circle of the moon, harmony of dissonance, and my personal favorite aria of sorrow- all 3 are extremely good games
i call the big one bitey.

I'm going out on a limb that that's all the Castlevania the GBA will get. Why? After cranking out 3 consecutive titles barely 1 year apart, how much more can Konami give?

Konami had a something called "Konami Gamer's Day", where they showcased upcoming titles. Interestingly enough, no Castlevania. I believe their next GBA game is called Shaman KIng, and two products that have been highlighted are new projects: Nanobreaks(Action game set in future) and WWX Rose Rumble (Think Dead or Alive Series with no guys, and with wrestling.) Both are PS2, so take that as you will.

Maybe we'll see more Castlevania in the next generation of gaming?

I really don't care about another Castlevania GBA unless they do something different with the series. I mean I love the Castlevania series but I'm really getting sick of the Castlevaina/Metroid thing that Iga seems obsessed with. At the very least make it so you can go outside the castle into towns, forest, etc like you could in Simon's Quest. Frankly though I really want to see an old school style Castlevania. Something like Castlevania 3 or Rondo of Blood would be great.

Hey guys you have to realize Konami is a rather large company and CastleVania is one of there largest (if not largest) franchises.  I wouldn't put it past them to keep one in the dark for E3 this year.  Remember when Symphony of the night came out, Aria of Sorrow could have been ready for the market a few weeks later but they waited about 4 months.  I think we might see another title before the GBA is done for.  Let's keep on top of this there might be news soon
Heres hoping
Final Fantasy Tactics advance is an amazing adventure that only the best will be able to finnish.
Current record 290 missions, please tell me how to read the hero goal (the book says I have to read it in order to do a few missions.  Thank you

Umm, you meant Harmony of Dissonance and not Symphony of the Night, right?

I'll just say this-Konami=dumb as a post.  Can't they see releasing a Castlevania game oin the GC, 2d and all, would rake in the sales?  I for one, would buy it upon release, as would about another million or so Nintendo-ites.  Hey Konami, get your head out of your ass!

Hm, there's a game called Castlevania listed for a release on PS2 this month in Europe. Which one would that be?

A 2d Castlevania for Gamecube will never happen. I'm worried about the next gen. of handhelds because everything will start to turn 3d, thus ending the making of great new 2d games. Games, in a whole, are getting worse, in my opinion. There's too much emphasis on how cool it looks and sounds outside of the box.

While one could argue the quality of today's games, one has to wonder with the advent of the upcoming, handhelds, is there any room for 2d left? More specifically, is it viable/profitable? Games like Symphony of the Night, the GBA incarnations, Viewtiful Joe say yes.

Maybe we'll see a Castlevania on the DS?

Castlevania on PSP or DS is my bet.  I'm actually expecting a port of Symphony of the Night on one of those systems (most likely PSP)

however, the 2d castlevania's have gotten a little stale, but perhaps that was just because of the 3 in 3 years issue, i wouldn't mind another one.  Circle of the Moon is my fave out of the GBA 3, (aria being second, i hated harmony) and it seems that lament wasn't as good as it needed to be... I'm really curious to see what the next castlevania will be.

I would love some sort of 2d game with a 3d map, like if you see a door in the background, you could go into it, and then it would have crazy intersecitng passages and everything.
seems like a damn good idea that could be implemented with enough ingenious thought... and seems far more suited for castlevania than metroid in my mind.
...

And a fully orchestrated score of remixed tunes from past games to go along with that ... The idea makes me happy.
