Topic: GameCube "An error has occurred, please turn off power and consult manuel"

   I just recieved a gamecube for christmas and now it's craped out on me...It happened while playing zelda the windwaker and i've only played it a few times.  When i turn the system on it says "an error has occured pleases turn off power and consult manuel"  this is whitout a disc in the system.  It also sometimes says disc read error when i try to play zelda...it will say this occassionally without a disc even in the drive.  The zelda disc is brand new..no scratches, but even if the disc was bad when i turn the system on it won't let me go past the error message.  The system probably only has a few hours of playing time on it....PLEASE HELP

You still have warranty left. Let N replace the thing.

I just replaced the system and it's working fine, but I was just curious if anybody else has had this error message or knows what would cause a brand new system to display this message?
