haven't played this game (yet), but my brother is, and he's stuck as to where he can find the 2nd hammer (hammer brother?).  he asked me to find out for him, so any help would be appreciated.  thanks a lot!

[Hostile Creation]

It's about one square (one square being the amount of land before the screen transitions over) east and two squares north of Beanbean Castle Town.  There should be a gate with a blue orb next to it, and he can use Luigi's hand power to open the gate.  Go through the little forest and find the cave, and the Hammer Brothers should be inside.
