GBA:SP Splurge
« on: December 11, 2003, 10:05:03 AM »
In light of me owning a GBASP in the near Christmas future, I decided to go ahead and buy me some games for it.  I got all my Christmas shopping done already so I felt it was ok to buy some games for myself, plus my girlfriend broke up with me 4 weeks ago so I might as well spend it on myself.  I had planned to only buy 2-3 games and I ended up buying...5!  I had planned on getting LttP and Advanced Wars 2, but I ended up getting:

- The Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past
- Advanced Wars 2
- Wario Ware
- Fire Emblem
- Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Brothers 3

I went to 3 different stores, because they were lacking the games I wanted, each store had about 1 game I wanted, then I ended up buying MORE.  Oh well, it just saves me times from buying games later I guess.  I also bought a GBASP carrying case and a gamecube cable for connections.  Oh well, Merry Christmas to me!  Good choices?

Yeah, very good choices. I can safely say you won't regret buying any of those.

Now you're thinkin'.   Sorry about the girlfriend, but after 15 yrs of marriage take my advice:  Stick with hookers.  Much, much cheaper in the long run.  Your retirement plan'll be maxed before you're 40, you'll still have cash to travel the world AND buy video games.

I have given you all the knowledge you need - now go forth.

Now the big question is, which game do I play first?

Heh, I'd start off with Wario Ware. Just fast paced fun, not a lot of thinking needed for it, then move up to the other games.

Another question, do you have to let the battery charge before you play it for the first time?

If I remember correctly, no you can play it straight out of the box.  Doesn't really matter though, because you can play while you're charging, anyways.

There was about 25 minutes of charge on my SP.   Enough time to get into Mario and Luigi and enjoy it.  It recharged pretty fast, under 3 hours.

i just played right away when i got it out of my box.
did about 3 hours until the battery gave up on me while i was playing Megaman.exe battle network 2.
and i played long without saving i really felt like a fool when the screen just went out.
but just like jarob said, its fully charged in about 3 hours and you can play like 8-10 hours with the lights on.
( i dont know about you guys but i never play with the lights out )
and dont worry about over charging when its charging you'll see a orange light and when its done charging the orange light will go out.
and yes you did pick up a lot of good games, those games are going to keep you busy for a llllllllllllooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnngggggggggggg time!!!!!
