Topic: mario golf ring shot

i just starting playing the gam again and ive almost completed ring shot with star koopatroopa i have only one left and its #6 in bowsers badlands, the one with the volcano, does anyone have any tips on doing this with koopa troopa or is it simply not possible cuz ive tried it a like 1000 times and cant do it, but when i use peaty parhana or bowser is totally do able any tips would help, i wanna use koopatroopa so i can finish it with him and avoind having to redo them all
