GBA SP audio problem

I was wondering if the GBA SP's audio sounds a little distorted to any one else? I recently got my SP and noticed that their's a slight sound of static during audio output. I can hear it with and without wearing the GBA SP headphones but more so with them on. Keep in mind that the "distortion" is slight and that most people probably wouldn't really notice it. I guess one of the reasons it bugs me is that I got the SP headphones figuring the sound quality would be a bit better than if I used the headphone adapter.

GBA's digital audio gets downsampled to 8-Bita quality, that's why you'll hear the hissing. Even so, some games hide it better than others.
