what... U mean its impossible for me to get it?  so whats all this registering for?

BTW I just got an e-mail from nintendo saying they are now shipping me my zelda collection disc and all I registered was MK and my gamecube system

Cant I just buy 1080 when it comes out, register that and get a bonus disk?

nintendo doesnt like to give out demo discs to current gamecube owners unless you are willing to spend another $50-$100 for a new game or system. dont forget that the game has to be preordered at a certain time though, or your out of luck.

"what... U mean its impossible for me to get it? so whats all this registering for?"

Here's how it works:

Register two of the following games: Mario Kart, Mario & Luigi, Mario Party 5, and 1080.  Once you have registered two they will send you a Zelda disc.  If they sent you one after only registering one that's messed up.

The Mario Kart bonus disc is different.  You get it if you pre-ordered Mario Kart.  Since the game is already out you can no longer pre-order it and thus cannot get it.  However the disc comes in the Mario Kart case so some people who pre-ordered are being sold the wrong case without the demo disc and thus have to email Nintendo to sort it out.  Some stores are also selling the bonus disc version to everyone.  If you've bought Mario Kart and didn't pre-order and didn't get the bonus disc version the only option is to find a store that sells that version to everyone and buy another copy of Mario Kart.

ok thanks for clearing things up for me.  I guess i got lucky then with that zelda disc cause all i neede to do was register my gamecube system and mario kart.  few... cause i was not planing on buying any of those other games that they say u need.

and as for the mario kart disc,  well thats pretty lame that u have to preorder.  Since I work at wal-mart i buy all my games from thier cause thier cheaper and i get discount.  If i wanted to per-order i would of had to go to EB (only store that does pre-order) and thier always like 5$ more expensive, dont have an ez return policy like wal-mart + I would get no discount.  so In the end If I preorder games I pay more for them so this is why I never do it.  anyways im going into work tonight and ill see if wal-mart has any copies with the demo disc, and if they do then ill just do an exchange.

thanks

I tried to register both of my GCN's and it wouldn't let me.  Not that I got anything for registering one.  I think that, that is stupid.  I own 2 GCN's, I should be able to register both.

It's stupid that you can only register one of anything.

the demos on the bonus disc are all pretty much sub-par.  f-zero was cool, but much too short.  tmnt was dull after 5 minutes.  sonic heros was horrible.  rouge squadron was even worse...why would they chose to use one of the on-foot missions??  every time i used my grappling hook to get under the at-at it would go into first person mode and i couldn't figure out what to do.  i tried every button and nothing.  did this 3 times before i gave up.  mario party was the only demo that was kind of fun, but even that got dull really fast.  but hey, it was free, so i guess i have no complaints.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

Has anyone tried out the fire emblem unlockables yet?

Also, is that geneseo oddjob?

I didn't think the sonic heros demo was too bad...but then again, i loved sonic adventure 2 which the vast majority of the world hated.

If you didn't pre-order Mario Kart and still want the demo disc, Amazon.com is apparently still selling Mario Kart bundled with the disc.

No telling how long they'll be doing this though.

'Tis I!!!!
I was a dreamcast person, I had those sonic games day 1, and I will say the problem has always been these new characters...the sonic levels are always fun and cool...but then the other fools get in the way...I wish old sega would just go back to sonic vs eggman.  Classic!
