I don't seem to get blue folders on my today page, it makes keeping up on topics tedious

i sometimes have the opposite problem...topics i read yesterday will still show up as having new posts even if they don't.  weird.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

Its possible, though i'm not positive, that new information is stored in a cookie, so using the forum on multiple machines could be the cause of king vudu's issues....just a guess though.

you are correct in your guess that new info is stored in a cookie.

however, the problem i was referring to was when using the same pc.

I don't wish to be a pain in ze-ass but I was kind of hopin` a mod r tech might answer my topic [over sized grin] please. . .
-I still have the problem, always.
-I always use the same PC.
-I checked the FAQs and help.
-And I'm quite sure I checked the boards before posting this topic.
I would really appreciate a answer, explanation or even a fix.

Many Thanks *bowing*

The blue folders thing is really odd.  If you look at any of the folder lists before you log in (including the main page), it will mark all topics as read when you do log in.  The only solutions I've found to this are either to enable the cookie to automatically log you in or to use a talkback link on the main site to bypass the folder lists, and then press the login button from there.

Use the refresh button on the forums' home page.  Hit it a couple times, and it will clear out everything.  Then when you refresh, it will only show the new ones.
