Game Zero, where art thou?
« on: October 25, 2003, 08:41:20 AM »
I was expecting this game to  be out already and we don't even know what type of game it is.

Zoonami website.

WHEN LORD WILL IT COME OUT? Thanks

Reason I ask this is because they have been around for 4 years and we havent seen anything! What is going on there?

Ermmmm...  I just fail to see how a game can be this hyped when all we have seen is one HEAVILY censored page of the concept paper.
Once I had, a little game
I liked to crawl back into my brain
I think you know the game I mean

E3? I laugh at that because thats what everyone says. After E3 2003 about a week someone asked where is Mario 128 they said wait until e3

E3 was 362 days away!

I still love Nintendo's reasoning behind Mario 128's absence at E3 03.

Luigi's mansion is shown -----> Blinx is made

Wind Waker is shown -----> Dark Cloud 2 is made cel-shaded as well

I think Ninty has enough reason to leave the game out until it's more polished...

It's a national past time of this industry to rip off revolutionary ideas and release your game before their's. While Nintendo's polishing it's original concept, some other company makes a cheap imitation and releases it in that time, which steals Nintendo's thunder away.

and why not? who says Zoonami have to conform to what the industry standards are? i say let them be secret, just think, the majority of bad impressions come from early screens/videos of games, mario kart was attacked for being too slow,  Wind Waker was slaughtered online because of its graphics, further along in the developement process and Mario Kart's speed issues have been adressed and is now sufficiantly fast, and well.. personally i never had anything wrong with the wind wakers engine, but now most people have played it either enjoyed it or found it too short/easy, only a few still have a problem with the graphics it has.

basically, Zoonami should release screens when they are damn well ready, when the game is near completion.

Considering that Zoonami is made up of only 7 members, it's obvious that the game will take a long time to finish...

They could just show ONE screenshot and make sure its at a really good angle and stuff so it doesnt give too much away, but still looks impressive.

Well, Nintendo does have a hard time describing genres in their games a lot of times as they tend to mix with a few or be a new one all together.

No info on Geist has been released since E3, you are correct.

To be perfectly honest, I am not that interested in Geist yet, although I am keeping an eye on it.  To be fair though, I really don't like FPS games, and I usually like them less on consoles.

Baten Kaitos makes me pop a wood just thinking about it though.   Well... that and the thought of finding the dog tags in MGS: TTS.    Rooowwwrrr!!!
