Broadband Adapter for mario kart, how does it work?

Mario Kart looks like an online game, I think.
I am on NTL UK Broadband, so how would I get online and would it be free?
And what would I need altogether?

Mario Kart: Double Dash!! is a LAN game only. Nintendo never implemented online features in the game. Basically you can hook up like 8 (i think) GameCube's together and play like that. Of course tunneling software (software to get LAN games playable over the internet) has already surfaced for the GameCube, well at least one product I know of. As soon as that software is finished (planning on getting it ready for US launch of MK
D) then you will be able to play Mario Kart online.

No we didn't. It's 16 PLAYERS, but only 8 GCs max. -- At least 2 people per Cube, each riding the same kart.
Oh...and this belongs in the main Mario Kart thread.
