River City Ransom

Anyone else excited about this port?  I am, it was one of my favorite games on the NES.  I just recently purchased a GameBoy Player, so now I can enjoy all the goodness that GBA has to offer; and it will be on my 53inch tv.  I just wish this game was coming out sooner.

It's got a cult following hasn't it? I never played the original, but people seem to hold it in high regard! Does the GBA version support multiplayer?

Yea, pretty much anyone who has played it, knows how kick ass it is.  It wasnt as main stream as Double Dragon though, but in my opinion its a much deeper game than Double Dragon.  Its a 2 player game.

Yep, this will cause me to get the GBP.  Man, Double Dragon Advance and River city in the same year.

Its the main reason I just picked up a GBP.  There are some other games I will get to; I dont have a GBA, so my GBP is my only way of playing GB games.  River City Ransom seems like a simple beat'em up and move on game, but its actually very deep.  Its got RPG elements that actually fit with the rest of the game.  Hopefully it looks as good on the GBP as it did on the NES, cause I was a bit disapointed with Donkey Kong Country, my only GB game right now.  I would have though it would look like the SNES version, but its very watered down in comparison.
