oh wait that just me dreaming again.
Sadly I havent heard of any lightgun games for GC.

Ive just got my son a gamecube, not opening till christmas, it would be great if they had gun games, why haven't nintendo done this, surely if you want to keep up with the competitors you must come out with goods.

Perhaps that is true, morphe, but light gun games aren't THAT popular. You buy that extra gun controller, and you can play 2 or 3 games with it. It is not a huge selling product.

If Nintendo makes another Duck Hunt, should it look realistic or should it mimic the NES style graphics? I think a realistic looking Duck Hunt would be cool, but have sound effects and, and animations of the NES version

They could do both. I'm sure it wouldn't be that hard to include a port of duck hunt in a remake. Kinda like how the original Metroid was unlockable in Metroid Prime.

Hey that'd be cool. And you should have unlockable "Dog–Skeetshoot Mode" as well as unlockable weapons and other birds. And it should have a "Story Mode". Meet Bill. Bill likes to shoot things. This is his story. Then you blast stuff.

I'm sorry if you are offeneded that I chose your name, Bill. It's just the perfect generic name for Nintendo to use. It fits perfectly between Mario and Luigi.

but nintendo havnt relesed any lightguns since the original duckhunt. or that really huge one for SNES.

I havent played a lightgun game since duck hunt. I think I still have the gun around some where but the combo game of it and mario brothers has been missing for years.

Maybe I'll pick up house of the living dead 3, just for fun some day, if the price is right.

They should make a whole series of light guns. One will look like fox's handblaster. One will be a full arm attachment like Samus' weapon. One will be a simple white glove that shoots fireballs when you flick it just right. And then one will look like a bow; to prevent injury, you will pluck a laser instead of a string. With a string, you could really nock (sp?) your bow and take out some possibly vital organ.

I like the idea of a light gun shaped like Fox's blaster. A Samus full arm cannon also sounds like a cool idea, but I have a feeling the novelty would wear off pretty quickly on that one and you would be left with an expensive and unused piece of kit rather quickly.

But the point is all mute anyway. I would guess there is about a 2% chance that such a device will ever be released for GameCube, and that is being generous. Such devices raise plenty of moral issues, especially in this day and age. Like robofish said, "light gun games aren't THAT popular", and it is something that Nintendo will simply avoid.

If you want to play such games, get a PS2.
