RE: Code Veronica X

In just over a week RE: CVX will finally be released on the Cube.  Personally I have been waiting for this ever since they released RE: 2 and Nemesis since I never had a chance to play them.  I'm sure a lot of you already have, so am I going to be happy with this one?  I am picking it up as soon as its released, but I just wanted to know everyone elses opinion on the game.

I have never played it either, and I also am anxious to buy it next week.  I hear a lot of stuff about the game, and almost none of it is bad.  People are always telling me that it's one of the best Resident Evil games, and I really need to play it.  Next Wednesday, I will see for myself.

Now hopefully I can buy SSX 3 tomorrow to tide me over.  (Games are always late in Canada.)

I picked up Resident Evil 1 last week (I had rented it previously), but I am still waiting for the price to drop on Resident Evil 2 & 3.  As much as I want to actually own them all for GameCube, I am not about to pay full price for them.

I have purchased all the RE's for Cube so far, and C.V. X will also be added to the collection.  It might have to wait a few months though, so many great games.  I payed the $40 for RE2 and RE3, but it wasnt that bad for me, cause I never played RE3 and only rented RE2 for the N64 once.  But I wouldnt blame anyone waiting for a better deal, like $20 would be more like it.

I've BEEN waiting for the price drop.  Games great and awful both have come down in price and those sorry ports that were overpriced to begin with are STILL 40 bones.

I am getting it so I can have the entire RE series.  I have RE 2 on N64, but also on GCN because it would give me the whole (main) series on one system.  As for a price drop, I don't knwo it it's gonna happem , if it hasn't happened already.  I had to order RE 2 from Capcom's website because they were the only one at that time that was offering it new.  I got it for .04 cents less that regular price.  If you want a cheaper price you're probably gonna have to go with the used game choice.

I played through Code Veronica back when it was new on the DreamCast, and I admit it didn't really float my boat as much as the other REs. Never played CVX on the PS2... I'd like to know what they added on top of the DC one. A little song and dance from Wesker, maybe?

Wesker is in Veronica? Damn I have to finish Numba One. Like many others, I too am waiting for 2 and 3 to go down in price. Even their used price is too steep for my wallet. Something like $34. Hey, I read (somewhere?) that RE2 was remade for DC. Is this the version that was ported to the Cube or did we get the PS1/N64 port?

It was just the PS one, it didn't even look at good as the N64 one. (RE3 was also put on DC, that's the one I have)

lol. He hasn't spoiled anything necessarily. I haven't even advanced far enough in RE1 to find out what happens to Wesker. I just got the grenade launcher and a death face plate and now the zombies move 47 times faster than they used to, and I think I shat on my couch.

Yeah, well, as for Wesker in Code Veronica, he just kind of shows up with super powers like "hey sup" and  he says he works for someone else, I think, and they don't explain why he's there or ANYTHING. I had the idea that CVX does, but I dunno. Somebody go ahead and give me any applicable spoilers because I doubt I'll play it again.

I had a super big post, but my internet died, and I lost it  Here is the super condensed version...

Wesker injected himself with the virus at the end of RE1.  He didn't die obviously since the virus kept his cells alive(maybe a version of the G-virus?).  This was kind of stupid, and keeping Wesker alive seemed to be an afterthought by Capcom, because in the remake Wesker is impaled, yet in the original he is decapitated...Though I guess it wouldn't make sense...What would Wesker say to Chris?  "Hahahahaha!  My super virus made my head grow back!"  Wesker works for some new company, the same company he was secretly working for in RE1.  His job in RE1 was to test the carriers and steal samples for his new company.  This company was the same one that attacked Rockfort, which released the virus in CV.  Wesker also came to find Alexia and get a sample from her...On a side note, as shown by the end of RE3, Leon is now working for Wesker and his new company(though he doesn't know they are bad...He just knows they are trying to kill Umbrella too)...Me thinks RE4 will follow on that point...

Wesker's head-growing abilities are neat.
