I seriously love this game. I NEED a V-Watch. Why couldn't they give those away for their pre-sale gimmo. I wish I could slow down time and punch and/or dodge bullets. Then I could be in the Matrix Restitution Part IV in which Berneo BURNINATES ALL TEH AGENTS W/THEIR WORTHLESS LITTLE HANDGUNS! Hurray for violence!

My local EB is sold out, and said they sold their initial shipment in 2 days.  So i went to best buy...nope.  All sold out.  I'm trying Walmart today.  But it appears to be selling very well.

im getting it first day in AUS.  why do people say i have no money? i mean its not that hard to earn some money, its 40 US dollars, THATS CHEAP!!!

i thought this game came out on the 30 of oct and didnt have any money saved up, then i find out its been pushed 2 weeks forward . i was in trouble , i needed money.   i cleaned the cars and mowed the lawn and some other stuff and now im only 40 sollars off. its not that hard. mind you my family have the biggest house in Essendon and the highest selling house in Keilor.

anyway when you get money then you will be blessed.

Viewtiful Joe ROCKS.  I got the game about noon on launch day, and I sadly had already beaten in on Adults(Note: PLAY KIDS FIRST, adults is OBSCENELY HARD. I wish i didn't try it.) and now I'm going through it again with the second character you unlock (and it hints towards more!)

The game only gets better, a few levels, (such as 5) were aggrivating with the lack of savepoints, but once you understand how the game works, you can easily get past them.

the bosses are BRUTALLY hard, perhaps its just because I played on adults, but they were definately the most difficult part of the game, certain bosses (level 6 *cringes*) took me HOURS to beat while other ones (level 4/5/7 mainly) were some of the best boss fights I've ever fought against in a game.  The game also looks great all the way through the end, and some of the puzzles make you think... but not too much.

Definately a must buy, espicially at only 40$

Hey, Syl, did you catch the Mega Man reference that Hulk Davidson made? I think he was episode 3's boss. Speaking of him. In that last room before you get to his dining room, you have to solve a puzzle (no spoilers here) and I could NOT figure it out for like 15 minutes during which time Mr. Davidson decided to sing the same 2 lines over and over and over again. "DAvidson in the hooouuse!..." I forget the rest but it was SO annoying. Although I supposed I did enjoy smiting his ruin across the floor all the more because of it...

Wow. I wouldn't have thought you guys would be getting it so soon. It took Animal Crossing, what, a year to get to AU? Well that one wasn't even planned to go there in the first place. Oh well. Henshin a go-go, Aussies.

I have played a couple of hours into this game, bought it yesterday, and I must say; its one of the best games I have played in a long while.  If it werent for Zelda WW, I would say Viewtiful Joe would be Cubes game of the year.  Max Paynes bullet time has nothing on Joe, its crazy fun slowing it down, then changing to mach speed.  Its challenging too, which is nice.  I am glad to see this game is selling well, cause its awsome.

mjbd, I agree one billion percent. Anyways, I finally beat kids mode () and I have a few questions. I don't think there will be any spoilers but ya never know.
Ok, first of all, when it cycled through all the enemies' and characters' names I was surprised to find out that Joe's robot/mech thingy was called "Six Majin". I thought he'd been saying "Six Machine" (and I think that was the name of his little personal transport thing). So is majin Japanese for machine?
Question two: Am I the only one that noticed in the end credits whent they showed the movie poster for the level "The Midnight Thunderboy" it used the EXACT same font as Devil May Cry? Is there any corrolation between Alastor and DMC? Perhaps a hint at...nevermind. I won't even say it.
Ok. That's all the questions I can think of for now. Later.

I just got the game and am on the third episode. It's definitely old school and I love it. This game reaffirms my long held belief that 2d games need to make a come back. Hopefully it will prove that guy wrong who kept saying 2d games have no audience in today's game market. I'm playing on Adults and there is good level of difficulty which is nice to see. The part where you're in the little ship rules.

That's odd about Six Machine.  I'm pretty sure it was spelled right in the Japanese version.  As for the Midnight Thunderboy, I think others have also mentioned Devil May Cry references, so I think it's one of those inside things for fans to appreciate.

Alastar has *VERY* much in common with devil may cry, when you unlock him, he doesn't transform by his self, you have to hit "Z"for the "devil trigger" so that he transforms into Stylish Alastar, his sword is named Alastor, and he also has quite a few moves that resemble dante from devil may cry
...but you have to beat V-Rated to unlock him

Why would they put in an inside joke for fans who may not even own a PS2? (such as myself) Hulk Davidson's Mega Man reference is cool because Mega Man's been on every Nintendo system. (Virtual Boy? I dunno)  And just to clear things up, Joe's little hover thing with the blaster and missles is called the Six Machine, and his large mech suit is Six Majin. I didn't notice at first but I started anew (ADULTS! AGH!), and at the beginning Joe says "Oh my gosh! Its Six Majin!" It's pronounced differently but Enlish doesn't have one letter that makes that sound, but it does sound like the French j.

I noticed that in IGN's review of V.J. they said that the game never takes a framerate loss, but I could have sworn that in the 3rd level boss, it was dropping hear and there.  Maybe it was just the camera, but it looked like the framerate was dropping a bit.  Anyone else take notice?

The third level is the Shark guy right? No I didn't catch it. The only time it ever slowed for me is when I hit the L button.
