I've been visiting Planet Gamecube for more than 3 years now, and have posted on the message boards for over half that time, but I've finally reached my breaking point. I don't care about ads, I don't care about how strict the forums are, I don't care what any other site may say, I love Planet Gamecube. But there's a limit for every man, and I've reached that. I quite simply cannot STAND the immense problems both the forums and the main site are having. I know you're trying as hard as you can to fix it, and I respect that, but nothing's happened for months and there's no sign of it letting up anytime soon. Plain and simple, I do NOT consider waiting 50 minutes to post a single message (the time it took me to post this one thread) "service" or "entertainment" or even "human interaction", and I'm not going to stick around for what is basically a 24 hour test of my patience every day of the week. I'd rather not come to Planet Gamecube at all than wade through the crap I have to every time I want say something, or even see what OTHER people are saying. So I've resolved to leave Planet Gamecube for as long as its problems persist. I currently have PGC as home page, but since there's no use having a "remote server" screen being set as default, I'll be changing it to something that will actually load. Obviously I also won't be posting on the message boards for a good deal of time since I'm a human being and must eat food and drink water to keep my body alive. I'll return when PGC's sorted out their problems, but not until then. If somebody will, please email when you feel Planet Gamecube is in good working order once more- I don't care WHO, just someone. I'm not going to like this at all, especially since a huge part of the time I spend on my computer is spent on the forums talking to all of you, but I simply can't stand this anymore. I don't care about pop ups, I don't care about take over ads, I don't care about ANY of that. What I DO care about, though, is actually being granted access to one of my favorite websites on the internet, and if I can't get even that, there's no use coming back, is there? I hope everything goes well sorting this out in the future, but it's obviously not going well now. I bid you all adieu.

I for one will miss your logic and openmindedness, it is a rare commodity around here at times.

I do however see your point on this matter. This problem has gone on way to long and it is becomming painfully obvious that an unwillingness to spend the money needed to fix this is the cause.

hopefully they fix this one day, but I wouldnt hold my breath.

I can't believe how any of you would think that we simply would just go on and let this go without doing anything about it.  We don't have a choice about visiting the site, and have to wait just as long as you do to access anything.  We're continuously working on solutions, and will do so until this is over.

I'm still here.  I'm not unsympathetic towards Mouse Clicker, but I have to mention that whatever the reason, this site works fairly well late at night.  I don't even try to visit here in the daytime.  I come here at night, and it works fine.  

Canuck, you can stuff your open mindedness up your arse.  You are about the most opinionated person I know.  It should be you leaving, not Mouse Clicker.

Wow! Right now, as of 9:40 EST, 10/8/03, this is the fastest I've seen the site in a very long time.  I was surprised that I got to the next page in less than a second...Hopefully it will last

Yeah, the site is working perfectly right now.  It works good every night, but this is without a doubt the fastest I have seen it in months.

To be honest, I have felt like Mouse for a while, but just didn't let it bother me that much.  Right now it is running very fast, less than a minute to open something and it openes, hasn't been like this since as far back as May, when I think all the slowness started.  I hope you don't stay gone for long Mouse.

If PlanetGameCube had stayed with EasyBoards (or whatever that contract service was called), the boards would still be working flawlessly.  Yes, the contract service cost money and the ads were annoying at times, but at least it WORKED.  I can not say the same for PGC's private forums which have not worked correctly since day one.

They are working now Honda.  They were working for months after having switched from the EZBoards.

Besides, what good are working forums if the main site is trashed?

I've been checking the site every day since I "left", Ninja- I just wasn't posting. Anyway, I knew the forums would start worknig again right after I left, and that was half the reason I did leave- Murphy's Law, ya know. You guys still could've emailed me, though.

Oh, BTW, great timing Rick and Bloodworth. You guys maybe could have caused the miracle perhaps an hour earlier when I wasn't so pissed off.
