sorry... I can't help you with that.  I would actually have to have a knowledge of how your (existing?) LAN works, and even if I had that knowledge, it would be largely trial and error for me until I got it working.  And although I do support Linux, I have to admit that I don't know how to use it very well.

I have been thinking about keeping a second computer for myself though to use as a server, but I have never gotten around to it, and usually my extra PCs are given away rather than kept.
Once I had, a little game
I liked to crawl back into my brain
I think you know the game I mean

Well, I suggest you take you USB connector plug, and hook it up to you SB54200.  Now, all that will do is allow easier communication between you hoveram CPU and you F200.  I am assuming you're using an F200, right?

Now, the RAM data port 2 should be open.  Plug your modem into that via speghetti.  That should help a bit, too.

Now, if you're wondering where the applesauce goes, my answer would have to be nowhere.  it's a common misconception that you should quickly pour the applesauce onto the motherboard to make it taste better, but I think some salsa might do the trick.  I'm not positive though.

I should also mention that the Rimdazzle 412 video card is now out by GeVidia, and should enhance your "dodgy" 233 into about a 412.  This wont enhance the processing speed at all, but it should set you back $350-400.  That's about.....carry the elevendy.....$1000-2000 dollars Australian.

Other than that, I can't help you one bit. Sorry. :\

You actually had me going there, KnowsNothing- I actually thought you knew what you were talking about. I guess that happens when you know jack squat about computers yourself.

I know how to DO stuff on a computer, just not the technical stuff. Funny thing is, too, I've spent about the last week or so piecing together myself a computer. Luckily I've got a friend who knows a lot more than I do to help.

Unplugging them is what's really tricky, though. o_O

BTW, I'm sorry, PIAC. You had an honest question and we just came in here and acted liked jackasses.

I don't have enough knowledge to answer your questions PIAC but I can recommend you to also post your questions on other forums other than PGC's. That's what I do when I have a computer problem. For my computer problems I normally post on the Penny Arcade forums, the GameFAQs forums, Animesuki forums, GPEmu forums and as a last resort on this forum, and all at the same time. Then I read all replies until I am satisfied on how to solve my problems.

I don't think a guy who mixes up "your" and "you're" should be telling other people whether or not they're literate.
