Thanks! Much glad to hear the voices are optional. Ooh. I hope the Japanese VA really is an unlockable. That would be great. I love it when players are given options since everyones preferences regarding VA can be different.

The Resident Evil voice acting never bothered me because the Japanese version had the same English voices, so it wasn't dubbing: Ergo, I didn't mind it. If the Baten kaitos voices are in English even in the Japanese version, then I won't mind it, but if they used to be Japanese and they replace them, then I don't have to hear them to know I'll hate them.
As for ToS having an option to turn the voices off, I'm glad about that, and if it does in fact have an option for the *real* voices, even better.

Actually I've heard some VA in Baten Kaitos in a couple of trailers and they sound pretty good. I don't know if the voices were originally English or originally Japanese but whatever the case I'm most likely going to keep the game voices in English for that game.

Not enough is known yet to answer that properly, the camera is ussualy far from the faces to pick up on facial expressions.

Dunno about that. It''ll be 2 discs right, just like the Japanese version? I'm not sure if you can fit both English and Japanese onto 2 discs...

OMG I just saw the opening movie and this game rules!!! The presentation was awesome and from what I saw the battle system is impressive. Not only does it look like a great anime - rpg game but to be able to play with ur friends (with out spending big $$$) is sweet. One question to those who already have played it, is the game long? 20 hours? 40+ hours?And when its coming out? Is it late july or early july? All I can say is that I can't wait for this game to come by cause it looks like my summer just got a lot better than it is already

The time it takes to complete an RPG can differ greatly depending on how much time you take doing sidequests and leveling up, but you can expect a long adventure...

The shipping date is July 13th...

I played a little Tales of Phantasia (translated) yesterday, and I just beat Maxwell (what a jackass). I've logged in over 22 hours, but I don't know how far I am.

Aha, so true...*shakes fist* You have yet to fight the elementals I think, which are really cool because Fighting of the Spirit plays during those battles...

(which imo is one of the best videogame pieces ever concocted)...You still have quite a ways, but fight on!

I take it that Ifrit, Sylph, Gnome, and Undine AREN'T the elementals?

On an interesting note, I earned Gnome as my 2nd spirit (low low level characters at this time) after a wrong turn... during that fight, my party was pretty much dead except for "Klarth" who was miraculously still standing and for the most part INVINCIBLE all thanks to the Protect Ring he wore. If I revived a party member, they'd die after 2 attacks. He whooped Gnome all by himself.

Yeah Professional u are about half-way into the game if I remember correctly ...maybe a bit less. Its a really good game that u should play till the end.

Also TOS is expected to be a 80+ game, that is including all the little extras.

I know people who have beat just the main story in about 40 to 73 hours. Its a long game and all the people I know who have it are very pleased with thier purchase.

Actually TOS is coming out in the US on the 13th of July. Just a little question though for those who have imported off lik-sang.com. How long does it take for the game to get to Australia? Do you have any good/bad relations with them?

I know its a little off-topic but seeing how alot of you are gonna import TOS it seems like a reasonable question.

NoE announced ToS for this christmas, I wouldn't be surprised if they don't even release it in Aus.

I'll pass on your offer, akdaman, but I do plan on getting ToS as soon as it comes out. I'm REALLY excited about it. Like REALLY. ^_^ Gamepro said the battle system was bad or out of place or something. That it was too much like an action (I'm guessing VJish?) game. I thought this was rather unusual cause all I got from Planet Gamecubers is rave reviews of the battle system. Well, I don't put much value in the word of GamePro anyways. (By the way I got subscribed for free; I would never give them a penny of my money.

I've already put $50 aside for ToS. I haven't been sure when it's supposed to come out so I've been watching t.v. hoping to see a commercial for it when I figured that I should ask my buddies at PGC. So, when exactly is ToS coming out? The link on the first page doesn't show anything anymore and I was hoping it would show something.
