The best you can do is leave the thread alone and hope nobody bumps it. Or maybe if you ask nicely, a moderator will lock it for you.

Easiest way is to reply and break one of the rules that doesn't result in an auto-ban. Duh.

(That's a joke of course, although it's a good way to get your thread locked.)
