While we're at it, can I place a request to fix Youtube embeds here? Right now they just don't show up (in Chrome) at all. You gotta quote the post and fetch the link from there if you wanna see whatever was posted. Maybe an issue because the embedding only works with http, not https?

Oh and my browser keeps blocking "scripts from unverified sources" on the site, although that's not forum-exclusive, but applies to the entire site.

EDIT: Does signing up currently require some form of (re)captcha? That'd weed some spambots out easier too.

Yes. It's why even though I embed for those on http, I also just post the link for those of us on https to block the bullshit this site was doing to my computer and phone a while back.

I stopped quoting post to see the embed link a long time ago. Now I just assume you didn't want me to see what you posted, and just keep it moving.
and I do appreciate the links "For BNM" that I have seen other threads in other parts of the forum.
Just because I didn't post in the thread didn't mean I might not have browsed though it a few times.

The superior fix would be up-to date forum software, something with modern features that takes the modern internet into consideration, but that may be too much to ask.
so getting a Dark Mode and maybe fixing the https imbed issue would be enough to quiet the need for anything new for years to come.

Are you talking about Chrome on your phone? Because I use Chrome and the link / video shows up fine on my computer.

Nope, desktop exclusively, that's where I took the screenshots above. It's the most recent official 64-bit vanilla Chrome build too, so it's not that either. It's not a massive problem I guess, but figured I'd jump atop the complaintrain while it was in the station.

I just tested it on Chrome on my laptop and it's doing the same thing there.

Firefox is doing the same thing for me and Edge is displaying a white box.

Digging out the version of internet explorer that comes with windows 10 for some reason causes it to do the same as chrome and firefox but it also displays a notification saying that 'only secure content is displayed"

I found a work around for Dark Mode on this site

Now NWR looks like this for me.
