Game Console Skins
« on: August 06, 2003, 02:42:19 PM »
I recently ordered a game console skin ( www.gameconsoleskins.com ). They just change your console to a different color. I got a chrome colored skin which i have just applied today. Its looks pretty nice, although it would look better in jet. I read a forum a while ago where someone asked about these, and if anyone had a picture. So, I should shortly be posting an image. In the meantime, has anyone else bought one of these, or know of anyone with these? What did they think? Ok ill post it shortly.

looks good, that must've been a pain in the ass to apply without having rinkles and making sure it's perfectly alligned with the spaces in between.

I don't think it looks too great with the indigo underneth.. black would of been better for the real console colour but looks cool. I wonder what the black looks like on indigio GC cause I could order it to match my GB player

I just thought of sometihng. Well I finally realized that I, and everyone else who has a gamecube, could use 2. So I've decided to tell my friend I can get him wind waker for 40$ brand new, while I pay another 40 for a black gcn and matching controller. So I might switch my gameconsole skin to the black one as well as the gbp, and use my indigo when I want to do something like tingle tuner with two tvs. So Instead of just buying a new controller for 20$ Ill just get a gcn and a controller for 40$ (refurbished) from gamestop. What do you think?

Dude the chrome looks freaking awesome. I just wanted to know if you guys knew if they did the same thing for gamecube controllers. Cause they do that for the ps2 and xbox controllers. I wanted to have them to a little bit of custom work on the skin, do they do that also?

yeah, i emailed the guy and they said they would do gcn controller and GBP skins, i would have been the first in the world ot have one but i never got round to ordering and they also don't mind doing custom skins, like i said above, they were going to put 'PIAC' in the center of the controller, it says on their site... somewhere.. that they do custom skins for Clans etc.

the only bad part is that if you look closely, the skins don't cover the entire console...leaving the original color shown around all the edges and outcrops.
