Topic: What´s happening to Mario 128?

Does anyone in this Forum know when Mario 128 will come out?

The first information I recall us getting was that Nintendo wouldn´t show demos of the game at E3 for fear of the competition stealing ideas from the game (which the schmucks apparently already did with Mario Sunshine´s Water Cannon for GTA - so understand Ninty really well!). The last information was that Miyamoto had gone on record as saying that if he wouldn´t be showing Mario 128 "at next years E3" he "wouldn´t be able to live up to his promises as regards the game"! Are they nuts? We´ve waited so long for a true sequel to Mario 64, and now after finally telling us that the game is ready, they delay the showing of it another long year?

I hope somebody can fill me in of this one, because I really am looking forward to that game since I found Mario Sunshine a drag to play.

If the game was ready it would be released. Its not like Nintendo sits on finished products, they are still working on it. Hopefully it will be good, but so far there has been no info.

no one checks out the mario section of the forums, so he has a much better chance of getting an answer to his question by posting it here.  (ask the mods, they'll vouch for that.)

also, what's with this gta ripped off the fludd?  i'm confused.  i haven't gotten around to playing vice city yet, so maybe that's it....

You can't blame Miyamoto for not wanting to show it. Nintendo fans can be such over-critical over-dramatic idiots at times. People have reacted negatively to just about every unveiling of a new title Nintendo has had.
I absolutely guarantee we'll see the same happen when Mario 128 is finally shown.

I agree, gamers are so critical of new additions to older gameplay.  Sometimes I think Nintendo should just spit out mario 64 on a GCN disk, relable is and say, "Here, this is what you want"

I still hope that the rumor of Mario 128 being 2D, but able to go into 3D, is true.

2-D 3-D?  Haven't heard that, but it'd certainly be interesting. . . whoa. . . that'd be cool.  I can't wait to see what this game is like.

Whats happening Mario 128?

Mario: Well, you know, after SM64 I did mostly those small gigs, like Mario party and Tennis. Oh yeah, Kart too. Then I made my come back to the big league with SMS, it went quite well, escpecailly when those brats only want blood and gore now a days. *Mario dumbs cigarette* So anyway, now my new new sport game has reached shelves, in form of Mario Golf, And Kart and Tennis are well on they´re way. My biggest project now is Mario 128 though, Should come sometime this year in Japan, unless theres a delay, so might slip to Q1, and sometine between Q1-3 in rest of the world.
