I wrote to TYP about this and he told me that it would be the perfect thing to post in the forums.  

I found out that in the Princess' Invitational course there is a hidden surprise...in the hole where the castle is sending up fireworks, there are flower beds, and in those flower beds are PIKMIN.  Just hit a ball into the yellow flowers and the pikmin will come flying out like a grenade exploded.  This can be done in any of the modes where that hole is available.

It also makes me wonder what else Pikmin-related is in the game...possibly a Pikmin course like the Target course mentional in a previous topic in this forum.

Yah it was cool when i was playing 4 player and hit it in there so then everybody hit it in just to see the pikmin


Of course I won after that.
