Did what? Pick a safe word? Because that's what Lucario just did. Lanky Kong may have a funny face but he's not a bomb word.

Well, I guess it's time we further Donk up this game by having someone else try to select a Safe Word. That's right. It's Donk it up Kong's turn. These are the remaining choices still available:

Well, look who decided to show up and make a selection. Donk it up breaks the chain of selecting the last available option but it does her no harm as her selection is safe!

We're at the halfway point of Round 1 and looks who's turn it is. The King K. Rool of this game - NWR_insanolord. He is left with the following touch choices:

Donkey Kong
Diddy Kong
Dixie Kong
Tiny Kong

Can he survive this round or will he succumb to another beat down from the DK Crew?

That's right! And NWR_insanolord is safe. And now we've got some first round intrigue. The last two players to select a word this round are ShyGuy and Stratos, the two players continually jostling for the number one position on the All-Time Safe Words Points Leaderboard. Will they both be able to survive this round or will one be going done early to give the other a chance to put more distance between them in the point lead?

The first one to select is ShyGuy. He has only the following options to still choose from:

Diddy Kong
Dixie Kong
Tiny Kong

Can he do it?

Huh. Apparently I haven't been keeping up with the Kongs. I didn't know Tiny Kong's design had changed. I just picture her by her DK64 representation.

And now that Tiny Kong is "hot", I highly recommend you do not do a Google search of Tiny Kong in Google images. A lot of disturbing fan art as you might surmise if you are a regular user of the internet.

However, this is all incidental to the fact that ShyGuy is safe. And so we come to the end of Round 1. There is only one person left choose and that is Donkos Kong. There are only two choices left. One is safe and one is the bomb word. Can Donkos survive or is this chimp going to be our first chump? The 50/50 choice is:

Dixie Kong

Also, congrats to Donkos Kong for really helping create more excitement for this game by stringing out the suspense for so long on his selection. Really helps keep the game interesting.

Actually, that jetpack doesn't look too safe either...

And his peanut poppers can explode in his face if held too long. Really, the guy is a walking disaster. This one was obvious if you stopped to think about it. And so, Donkos Kong basically lost to Gnawty when you think about it and that isn't easy to do. Please enjoy the shame and disgrace you've now earned for your family now for all of eternity with this performance.

Yes, that will provide as a suitable celebration gif.

However, it is ShyGuy that now gets to select the bomb word as we move on to the Monkey Mines for Round 2. Incredibly, Imgur is not able to load right now so I can't post the pic I prepared ahead of time to show our progress along DK Island. Way to suck, Imgur!

For this round, we are going to take a moment to appreciate some of the great jams from the DKC series which means ShyGuy will be choosing the bomb word from this great selection:

Well, I've finally received the Bomb Word and Imgur is loading again. Looks like everything is back on track as we move on to the Monkey Mines.

Reminds me of DKC2.

I apologize for the double post. Tiny Kong got redesigned for the DS port of Diddy Kong Racing. She replaced Banjo while another character replaced Conker. Or vice versa depending on weight classes. It wasn't that good of a port which really disappointed me, as DKR is one of my favorite kart racers of all time.
