« on: July 28, 2003, 10:51:45 PM »
28.07.03 - The Famitsu Cube has new details to the game of roles asked Kaitos of Monolith/Namco published.

The development time is with scarce over two years. Meanwhile the play is finished to 85 per cent. The team is at present busy with debugging and last fine cross section.

From monolith 30 persons work asked Kaitos on, from trichloroethylene crescendo 20. The total play time of the RPGs is to lie at approximately forty hours. Release: December 2003 (Japan).

Wow! 40 hours of gameplay? Everytime I hear info on this game, gives me another reason to buy it. I really didn't know it was in development for that long.

What other games is Nintendo hiding from us?

Question. What the hell IS Baiten Kaibos now? I'm too lazy to go look it up, and I looked for a little bit on this site, and I didn't find anything. Hmm, 2 years? Must be a ralley developed game.

yeah this is from www.the-magicbox.com:

"Monolith Soft has released some new info on their GameCube RPG Baten Kaitos. The game has been in development for 2 years, with 20 staffs from Monolith Soft and 30 members from Tri-Ace behind the project. The game will have 40 hours of play time, and it is currently 85% completed."

well i like the 40 hrs and 2 year time frame on the game, but 30 members of Tri-Ace are behind the project!!!!!!!!!!
i love tri-ace and all the games that they have made over the years- their games always have great battle systems
tri-ace may be my favorite rpg developer- their games include the star ocean series and my personal fav valkyrie profile
if you have played any of those games, you know how good the battle systems are
this just made me one happy happy person- i cant wait now for this game!
i call the big one bitey.

Yeah, I agree with RPGLover.  Tri-Ace freaking rules, and so does Monolith.  I haven't seen a development team with this much potential since the development team for Chrono Trigger was announced.  (Final Fantasy meets Dragon Quest)
Once I had, a little game
I liked to crawl back into my brain
I think you know the game I mean
