So I've ventured back to Hateno village, and decided to buy a house.
I'm 2 bundle of wood short, my axe broke, and I have no where near $3k in rupees
BUT I do have:
Amber x75
Opal x21
Luminous stone x18
Topaz x13
Ruby x4
Sapphire x7
Diamond x1
Now my question is, is there any good reason why I shouldn't sell all of these stones for cash once I have my 30th wood bundle?
I see in the description that some of these have elemental properties, but I am currently unaware of how to use them in such a way.
Is it worth the time to buy the house? Do I get to store a bunch of crap there so I don't have to constantly leave weapons/shields/bows/etc behind to be lost forever?
The Hinox is definitely the easiest of the "big" enemies in the game I felt. They're slow and have obvious tells and weakness. If they're wearing a barrel or two on their legs I always find it funny to set it on fire.
I think part of the fun in this game is trying to stretch your limits, so yes, I would say it's worthwhile to try to fight a Hinox and anything else you find. You may end up surprising yourself with what you learn when dealing with these things as a "weakling." The penalty for death is almost non-existent, so what you got to lose?
I took your advice, I went back to the Hewa Jeen Shrine, defeated that test of strength, took on a Giant Rock Monster, and then went after the red Sleeping Giant. Defeated them all last night. #feelsgoodman
**Is it ok to post spoilers? I feel like i have to be the last person here to play this game... there's no one I am spoiling at this point... if anything, I'm giving you all opportunities to show me things/ways I hadn't yet thought of.**
I did it the slow and tedious way for most of the Rock Monster and the Giant, using infinte bombs.
I used them to catch the Rock Monster in a loop, and then made "quick" work of him after that (circle bomb then square bomb, rinse wash repeat)
The giant monster I kept running under him, dropping bombs, detonating them, and sometimes he would sit, allowing me to run up slash and maybe steal what was around his neck. if I could move quick enough, get a shot off in his eye, but he mostly blocked me from doing that after the first time I hit him that way.
Now I got 4 others I found, 1 of which I can't face because of some Ice Minotaur, and a shrine on an island with another "strength challenge" I need to accomplish.
Oh, and that island where they make you play survivor.... I've done that probably a dozen times.
It's actually what prompted me to return to the main land and accomplish everything else I just talked about in this post. There's a big sleeping giant on there too, and I needed to know how to win before I waste all the time on that island yet again.
edit:
and now my horse gets stranded on an tiny island in a lake...
I jumped off to go bug hunting behind the sheep farm in Hateno Village.... and I can't find my wandering horse. I look out to the island on the lake... and there he is WTF.
Guess I have to go find another new horse, huh?
