I had meant to give Lucario an answer to his question in this thread but then stuff went down and there didn't seem to be much point. But on the off-chance our Pokémon lover is reading these forums anonymously, I shall give the answer to my amazing Lucario knowledge.

This started with Lucario wondering how I knew he was allergic to cats as he asked here:

Asshole.
Srsly tho how did you guess that?

The answer is quite simple. I was just making a joke. It was actually sort of insult. Dasmos mentioned that he missed Perm's rotating avatar which included a kitty picture. Lucario jokingly asked I wonder why with the answer going unsaid that it was because Dasmos uses avatars with cats in them. It a great forum trademark for Dasmos.

I, however, decided to make the joke that the reason Dasmos liked it wasn't for his normal cat love but because Lucario was allergic to cats. Therefore, the Perm and Dasmos would be sending an unspoken message to ward off Lucario from being around them by having cat avatars. I didn't know if Lucario was allergic or not and it didn't matter. It was just a wisecrack that his assumption of the answer was wrong and it was really that people sort of disliked him.

It was then that Lucario volunteered the information that he actually was allergic to cats. As such, I'm not sure he realized what my remark was supposed to imply but was just wondering how I could have figured that out. I hadn't figured that out. Lucario just thought I did and I left him thinking he was right. However, I then decided to be even more bold and try and guess so more information about him that he hadn't revealed in order to see if I couldn't psych him out further. I settled on the idea of pretending I was actually someone at his school like teacher.

I knew where he lived since he's mentioned it before and it is in his profile. However, when entering that info in Google along with school and high school, I discovered a lot of results and it suddenly didn't seem like I'd be able to pull the trick off. But I had another clue! While people were making jokes of Lucario being a dupe account of mine, Lucario mentioned wearing a school uniform. I remembered Lucario made a thread posting pictures of himself and culinary dishes he created at school.

Was it in one of the pics i posted?

Almost. Finding the Lucario cooking thread and reading through it, I couldn't find anything that explicitly named or gave away the school. However, Lucario did show some cookies he said he made for the school's biscuit sale. Adding that bit of information of a biscuit bake sale to the Google search narrowed it down to a couple school newsletter pdf's. Taking the school names from the newsletters I found, I looked them up to see if they mentioned anything about cooking class or school uniforms. One of the schools showed kids wearing an green and orange/yellowish type uniform that looked similar to something Lucario was wearing in one of his cooking photos. Since the other students in the background were wearing the same color clothing scheme, I figured that had to be school uniform he was taking about. Not finding much else for proof, I decided to take the chance and declared I was football teacher of the school.

This declaration did not get the reaction I hoped for. Compared to the cat allergy, my knowing Lucario's school seemed like no big deal at all to him. He didn't say I was wrong but he also didn't say I was right. So, I stuck to my guns by just joking around in a general matter and finally asked if I was a member of his school board. To which he asked the quoted question above of whether the name was in one of his pics. It was then that I knew I was right and had correctly discovered and guessed his school after all. And that's how I knew all about Lucario's life just like I know about everyone else's here. Ha ha ha ha ha! I am Treize Khushrenada, Ace Detective! as I've often said before. Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair.

Khush for the past several years has been piecing together a novel based on long posts here and there that he has made on the NWR forums.

I'm glad khush is still here. When he was gone I missed him. I did something similar to Dasmos back in the day, and his response luckily didn't get him banned. It is a typical Austrailian response. I think I deserved the response I got though.

Spoiler alert: The actual murderer of the forums members is not one person but 3 people, the mods! Dun dun duuuunnnnn.

Khush is good people. There's really no one I don't like here, though, even Lucariofan.

That's how I usually feel too but there are some people that test my patience and usually that's Broodwars or Ian Sane. Broodwars can make some posts that come off as really arrogant or condescending. He may not see them that way and I know the emotional intent can be lost when all one has to go by is text but that's how they came across to me. Fortunately, that seems to occur less and less and as such, I don't really have as negative viewpoint as I used to regarding him. I've often found that rather than just flat out attacking a post I don't like, if I ask him some questions or get him to expound more on what he said, my initial reaction can change as he explains more of his thoughts on a matter.

With Ian Sane, it can vary. There are times where I have liked his posts and thoughts on various things and other times he makes these hyperbolic and exaggerated statements on a point and talks as though it is fact or just can't let go of some past decision by Nintendo that he'll bring up in his arguments that can drive me up the wall. In an ironic way, it's really because he is passionate about Nintendo but you don't get that idea from the way he says things in his post. But let's face it. He's not advocating that Nintendo go third party or that they stop making games. At the heart of it, he wants Nintendo to be absolute number one in the video console space but to do so in a way that every gamer would want to be a Nintendo console owner and find the gaming experience they like with it. That's why he goes on about 3rd party support and the Wii's success not being good enough. He clearly still wants to see a total domination of the video game market like the NES and to an extent the SNES had. When you really think about it, that's really the idea behind most of his posts.

As a Nintendo fan, of course I'd like to see that too. It's just the way that he presents his case makes it easy to lose sight of that fact. He comes across as too harsh, judgemental or close-minded when he criticises a lot of decisions that were successful or that other people liked and he didn't. He may rail against controller decisions and graphical power and cite examples of the competition as the blueprint to follow but it isn't so much that he like Sony or MS over Nintendo. It's just that he sees the way they do things as being the only way to bring about the success he wants Nintendo to have in being able to dominate the market, the way to marry third parties with Nintendo consoles again to create that utopia. The conflict that often arises is that he is unable to consider any other option that might allow for this to occur because he's convinced his way is the only path to success and he gets overly passionate when Nintendo isn't following that path.

Yes, I believe Ian Sane is a passionate fan. I really don't think he'd still be here if he wasn't a fan of Nintendo nor would he still be buying their hardware and software despite all his complaints against it. You could compare him to a sports fan of a team. Fans have all the answers and solutions of how to make the team successful. Even when the team is successful or winning a championship, they can still be critical and harping on mistakes of certain players or decisions made. You wish they'd just be positive and be happy at the success or enjoy the winning for a while but that's just how some people are. They have this rooting interest for the team and they don't want the team to just win a game. They want them to never lose. To win every game and every championship and be a fan of the best team of all time that plays the game the way it should be played. Where all the star players want to play because they know that team gives them the best chance success to win. That passion can cause a person to go overboard which I think happens to Ian from time to time. So, I think it would help if he was a bit less passionate about his Nintendo domination dream. It might help him mellow out a bit and begin to enjoy some of the successes and experiments Nintendo can still have and do. Until then, we'll probably keep getting in arguments with him about everything.

In the end, to get back to the main point, I don't have any ill will to any forum member. Life is too short to get hung up on stuff like that. Even if I do get upset with someone on here, I'll say my peace or give it a couple days to forget it and move on. There are things to like about everyone here. That makes the Lucario ban a bit disappointing since he has often shown that same spirit and I do believe him when says he likes everyone here.

Yeah, I can definitely get getting annoyed with Ian Sane and broodwars occasionally. Though their opinions can be relatively harsh, it's not like some posters on GAF who come off as trolls instead, so it's easier to indulge and not be irritated so much. Also brings some good conversation and discussion to the site! Far better than what I contribute at least!  :D
