Actually the timing varies. Mine is just behind Mario's. Then flashing at different times is nice, gives the board a more random active look instead of them all flashing at the same time.

I've noticed that some have different times then the interval 1.5s, 0.2s. I don't think Knowsnothing saw that yet, but he now knows it, so now he can request the timimg for the Aussie to appear.

It's a server side script. Basically, when your browser makes a request for the URL that SUPER specified, the server will randomly choose an avatar of his choice, and send that.

I was thinking of doing that, but I really didn't care to design that many avatars.
