First console: Nintendo

Game that really got me into gaming: Tetris

Consoles owned: Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Nintendo Gamecube

Favorite console and why: Nintendo by far, despite being extremely young, I loved this system with my heart and almost any games that came with it. If it weren't for this console, I wouldn't have my glasses, I'd probably reading a book right now, and I wouldn't be here.

Favorite games: Tetris (Original), Contra (All), Double Dragon (All), Mario (All), Metroid (All), Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, Bomberman (Original), Dig Dug, Road Runner, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Most that I've played), Perfect Dark, Goldeneye, Mario Kart 64, Donkey Kong 64, Resident Evil (All, Except Survivor), Eternal Darkness, Super Smash Brothers (All), Warcraft (All), Starcraft, Counterstrike, Unreal Tournament, and that's just the beginning, but I'll stop here.

Most anticipated games: Resident Evil 4, Mario (whatever title it is), Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, and Killer 7

Favorite genre: Strategy

Wish for the future of gaming: Return of 2D games.

Alas, I never had one. I've got a friend who's willing to sell me his, though, and I'm going to buy it once I get up enough money for it and a few games like Super Metroid and Earthbound.

mouseclicker, when you do get the SNES, a good place for games is Gamecrazy.  I don't know if you have Hollywood Video in Kansas, but their Gamecrazy section has a decent selection and they don't overcharge like Gamestop does.

There's a few locations pretty close to where I live but I didn't know they sold SNES games- I'll definitely check out that. There's also a used game store close to where I live that has a lot of great deals on SNES games. Thanks.

You're welcome.  Oh, they also had this thing called "Super Game Boy" or something like that.  It was so you could play the OLD Gameboy games on your Snes.  Sorry for my ignorance on the name, but I had no idea this had existed.  Have you guys heard of this?
It looked long a longer SNES cartridge with a space at one end where you put the Gameboy game, then you just put the other end into your SNES as if it were a SNES game.

A friend of mine had a Super Gameboy we used to play Kirby on for hours. I play all my Gameboy games in my GBA, though, but if I can find a cheap SGB I'd probably pick it up.

yeah, i see alot of SGB's on ebay (all funnily enough marked 'RARE!') you would be better off getting the GBP though, it would only be a bit more and you can play GBC and GBA games aswell.

heheheh, yeah, talking about the Gameboy Player, its only the cost of a new game, where as the Super Gameboy is about $20 (australian) roughly on ebay + postige, sometimes upto about $30, and you only get Gameboy games, so i think the GBP is much better value, but then if your a collecter you would want both

Yeah, I agree the GBP is a better deal.  I just had not seen the SGB or heard of it before yesterday.  I have been debating on getting the GBP or not.  I will probably wait until the price drops or someone somewhere puts it on sale.  It's just not a priority right now.  I'd rather spend money on new games.

Well, I guess I have succeeded in totally throwing off the topic here.  Sorry....

I was saving up to buy a GBP, but I spent all the money on Mario Golf. I guess I'll just have to wait until I can scrounge up another $50.

Oh and mouseclicker, I'm 15 too

First console: Famicom (yes, Famicom, not NES)

Game that really got me into gaming: Contra

Consoles owned: Playstation, Gameboy Color, Famicom

Favourite console and why: Nintendo 64, which I owned at one time.  I hold the fondest memories of gaming here.  It's such a great system for having several friends gather together and playing.  Ah, the nights of Mario Party, Goldeneye, and Bomberman 64 playing with friends.  It helps that my favorite video game, Bomberman 64, is on this console.

Favourite games: Atomic Bomberman, Bomberman 64, Command & Conquer:  Red Alert, Starcraft, Tactics Ogre

Most anticipated games: Soul Calibur II--I hope I can find someone in the dorms who has a GCN by then.  FF Tactics Advanced

Favourite genre: Real Time Strategy

Wish for the future of gaming: More PC games

Wow, there are a lot of old geezers here.
