Hey everyone, I came up with this logo for the Nintendo NX, as well as the name "Infinite" (NX Infinite) and some ideas for the system and the controller.  Any thoughts from you would definitely be appreciated!

I hope you like some of my ideas!  And thank you.  :)

In your sig, I noticed your love for The Wonderful 101, so I clicked it and saw what you wrote.  I'm a big fan of the game, too.  Playing it is like going through a Saturday morning cartoon/superhero comic book.  Fun game!

Very well thought out. As well as looking like a infinite symbol it also looks like an egg timer, fill it with pixels that flow from one side to the other, then flip 180 degrees to start over, and boom you have a system loading animation. In terms of backwards compatibility each the portable and the console only have one screen, but when you combine them you have two, opening the door to Wii U, 3DS and DS downloads.

When you have both a handheld and a console working together I think there are a few options for the hardware. First would be something like the Sega Nomad, where the handheld has a similar level of power as the console, perhaps the NX handheld would have less impressive resolutions and frame rates but fundamentally they are the same.

+ If the handheld and the console are one and the same you could draw both western and eastern 3rd party support to the same system.
+ Gives people the choice of if they want either the console the handheld or both.
- Would be very expensive to get both since you would have to include the same set of hardware twice, once for the console and again for the handheld as they would need to work as stand alone units.
- Poor battery life for the handheld.

Another option is for the NX to be like the Gameboy player. Where you can play your handheld games on a big screen, giving a console experience for your handheld games.

+ Would be very cheap since you only need one set of hardware, the console part could just be a shell that receives low latency signals and puts them on your tv.
- Graphically underwhelming when on the big screen.
- Could drive away western 3rd parties.

The last idea I had was for the NX to be like the Vita when it receives PS4 signals. The Vita at that point is just a receiver for content streamed from the PS4.

+ Quite cheap since the handheld could just be a shell that has games streamed to it over the internet.
+ 1:1 console graphics on a handheld.
+ Attractive to western 3rd parties.
- Too similar to Wii U.
- Only those with good internet would be able to utilize the handheld.

Thank you for your very in depth thoughts, I appreciate it.  I like a lot of what you said, including the different possibilities of how the Home and Portable unit could work together.  Also, thanks in regards to the video itself; I'm glad you liked it.

One of the things I didn't mention in the video was actually just what you suggested: the loading hourglass idea.  Hah!  Another thing that I didn't mention was the intentional drawing of the screen on the NX Go NOT BEING in 16x9 format.  I drew it like I did to touch on the possibility of having backwards compatibility with DS and 3DS software, but with there just being a black line horizontally down the screen's half way point to give it that 2 screen effect.

But yes, like you touched on, if you use the TV and Portable unit in conjunction, there you've got your two screened experience as well.
