Hive Jump on Wii U!
« on: August 26, 2015, 04:23:04 PM »
Hive Jump is a Sci-fi action platformer for 1-4 players blending run'n'gun gameplay with strategic campaigns.

We ran a successful Kickstarter in August of 2014 and have been developing this game for a while even before that. We're proud to say that our project is being hosted by Nintendo at their #Nindie Lounge in Seattle during PAX Prime this weekend! You can come play Hive Jump on the Wii U and see for yourself!!!

Here's the official announcement.

You'll have a chance to talk with the team, play the game, and get your picture taken with a Jumper multi-gun replica! We hope to see you guys there! We're honored to be shown with such great games as Binding of Isaac and Shovel Knight.

I remember this game from the KickStarter - it looked really promising!  Glad to hear it'll get some run at PAX Prime and look forward to hearing more about it.

Looks like a 4 player "Contra meets Super Metroid", which is incredible. I really hope Nintendo continues with the Indie support on the WiiU/Nx for years to come. Shovel Knight is still the best game I've since it came out.

Some elements in the video reminds me of Helldivers on the PlayStation systems. A side-scrolling Helldivers sounds pretty good.
