Valkyria ChroniclesThe game is much better despite gameplay induced craziness like "Sneaking" a tank into a garrisoned city or a tank manned exclusively by one guy. The game's cut scenes are just better and overall has much better pacing. The Anime for no real good reason stretches certain things and ends up compressing the hell out of the last act where the tank gets ditched for reasons along with a bunch of plot threads.
The show goes hilariously off model at times with bust sizes on one character varying from a B to an E cup from scene to scene. The sound design is very weak and uninspired.
The music is almost a crime as to how badly used it is. It straight up uses the game's music which is excellent for the game, but the show chops the hell out of it destroying the flow. Plus the game music doesn't have any Pavlovian like beats to it since it is meant to be game music, so when something on screen does happen the music is just not there to back it up.
Go play the game instead.
The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chanNot sure what this show is trying to achieve. It exists by coasting on it's predecessors characters and nothing much happens. It's constantly implied there is something strange happening yet not. Mikuru continues to be sexually assaulted by her female classmates.
Whoa whoa whoa, no hating on 00 Gundam. It's one of the better Gundam series in recent memory. Now, the move is suitably terrible, but shows like Gundam AGE? Oh man, what garbage. Great suit designs though.
If you want the best and most ridiculous Gundam series look no further than G Gundam.
I haven't seen any new Gundam other than the first Build Fighters, but 00 has a slight edge over Victory Gundam, good god, it drives everything into the ground. 00 had that badass space elevator episode which for me was the second good thing to come from it.
