Nintendo having the best summer lineup?
« on: June 25, 2003, 06:07:10 AM »
Anyone else agree that Nintendo has the best game lineup for June,July, August? I would of rather had FZero in June so I can play it all summer but I can still play it a few weeks before i start school. And also Wario World , Mario Golf, and Soul Calibur with Exclusive Link I think this is one of the best summer lineups I have seen in awhile.

It always seems like the summer lacks good games but it does get boring outside and its always nice to get a game or two and sit down to play.  With the Gameboy Player out that also gives me more of a reason to want to play because I can now play all the great GBA games I've missed.. golden sun

I really like Niintendo's lineup for the rest of this year. I was dissapointed that there still has not been a Pokemon RPG game announced, but I'll get over it.

I usually stay away from multi-platform games, but SCII with Link is looking pretty appealing. FZero and MK : DD are must haves for me. FF:CC is borderline, I still need more info. I was looking forward to Wario, but since it looks very short (<5hrs) Ill pass on it at the $50 range.

With the GBP I am really looking forward to playing golden sun and FF for GBA on the TV.

All in all I can say that Nintendo is not dissapointing me this year, and with the titles on the horizon for next year I will be happy for quite a while.

Why is it sad that it gets boring outside? After a long day of swimming, working, playing some sports it does get boring just as video games do.  I need lots of variety to keep me busy

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic ( KOTOR ) for the Xbox comes out on July 15th. It is supposed to be the best Star Wars game. So it is F-Zero ( GC ) vs KOTOR ( Xbox ). I am going with KOTOR.

EDIT: Plus Xbox just released Brute Force and Pirates of the Carribean comes out next week.

I'm going to have to agree with Bartman here.  I also live in a bad neighborhood, it's in South Central L.A. and it's hard to go do some outdoor activities what with all the gang violence and shootings.

I live in a perfectly splendid neighborhood, but it's boring as Hell.  Actually, I don't play video games that often (I'd say an average of about three hours per week; I play games tons until I beat them, but after that I slack off to maybe playing about an hour or two a week) unless I'm with friends or have gotten a new game, and my friends and I do other stuff more often than we play games.  I do a  wide variety of stuffs.

haha that sucks, but at least you have a beach....I live in Indiana, my closest "beach" is Lake Michigan....

I usually hang out with my friends rather than play videogames. My neighborhood is friendly, but its not a small city, yet everyone hears everything about everyone that goes to my school as if it were a old small southern town.....its wierd. Parties don't happen as often as they did during the school year which is odd, so we usually resort to hanging out some where. If its at someones house it usually comes down to playing video games or make an effort to go have fun that night. Were lazy bastards......

We would like to go outside, but games are just there....

Anyways I want SC: 2, already pre-ordered and saved $10 at FYE. F-Zero is sure to amaze, but I don't know about Mario Golf. Never played the older ones, but I loved Mario Tennis. Are there any good 3rd party games coming out? like from capcom....

"Oh yeah, and its winter here. So no beach for us."

In any country where it doesn't snow it's always beach weather.  At least that's how we see it in Canada.  In Vancouver any day where you can see the sun is a beach day.

I actually don't think the summer lineup is all that hot (HA!).  I haven't bought a new game in months and the only summer titles I really care about are F-Zero and SC2 which unfortunately come out only days apart and come out at the very end of summer.  I guess it's good by summer release standards but it's still nothing to really get excited about.  At least last year Eternal Darkness came out at the beginning of summer so you had something to play for two months.
