Im getting Gauntlet Dark Legacy soon and im wondering is it a time consuming game like zelda or a game that you can beat over the weekend like LoTR?or is it a game that doesnt end, like animal crossing.how many hours did it take you to beat it?Also does it have good 2 player value. An adventure game...is it a game where you have whole big world that you explore or is it one where you choose a level and then play.Sry i wouldnt know that stuff ive never played a gauntlet game before.

It plays by level and it takes a fairly long time to beat.  There are. . . 8 worlds, and each world has several levels.  It's best for multiplayer; my friends and I played this for almost seven hours one day, and we had an awesome time.  I beat the game about 2 weeks before I should have, though.

Also,uh, price is $20 so is it worth the money and is it worth just as much as any other GC game?

I thought it was worth the money, and I paid nearly full price, so yeah, I'd say it's good enough.  It's not near as good as any games Nintendo has made thus far (at least not the ones I own), but it's fun enough, and it keeps you entertained for a while.

dont buy it for single player, its strength is in multi player, i never play it unless im at friends houses (and given i live oh... 800-900 KM/s away from any, thats not very often)

I owned Gauntlet 3, so I would buy a newer version in a flash
before u buy the game, you should go down to local arcade and look to see if they have the older arcade version, which ran on a powered up dc

I liked Gauntlet DL, I wish I could find it cheap around here, in fact I wish I could find it period. But you know...stores suck. And buying used games just arent the same...

However, much like Midway's past other GCN titles, its got terrible lag, more graphical errors, long load times from the CD and memory card! Its a very lazy port, but if your at least in it for its multiplayer, it shant go wrong.

I'd get Mario Kart when it comes out, and Super Smash Brothers Melee.  Both of those should appeal to everybody.

Gauntlet was wicked cool.  I wished the game had like twice as many levels.  Each level is huge and packed full and overflowing with ridiculous hordes of enemies.  One might easily kill three or four hundred enemies in a single level one time through.  Each level takes a while to get through, too, with most probably taking roughly a half hour or more.  (I forget, since I have not played it in forever.)  The game should take a bit of time to beat.

If whatever I just posted sounds rude/hateful/whatever then you probably read it wrong, but I will insert apology here, anyways, just in case.
