Chapter 2 - Won't Have Me to Kick Around Anymore
 
Here's the cliff's notes version of the story since finding images is taking too long.

With the villagers now suspicious of one another, everyone was looking out for themselves. Thus, when the Insano villager Croque tried to lord it over them to start a community league to have soccer tournaments, it rubbed the villagers the wrong way. Plus, everyone was worried the soccer balls he was handing it could be a death trap of some kind. So, they started kicking the balls back at him and balled him to death. One good kick from Mayor Khushrenada hit Croque square in the head and knocked it clean off. At least it proved he wasn't wearing a costume and was just a regular villager.

That night, under the cover of darkness, Tom Nook went to collect the money owed to him by one of his clients, Jay, a shyguy he knew he could easily rough up and extort. Fearing for his life, Jay gave him all the money he had. However, it was 3 bells short. In a rage over not paying back his debt, Tom Nook beat him to death with the bag of bells he had just acquired.

That evil guy, Tom Nook, then hurried back to Shampoodle's shop where he was hiding in disguise. However, he was surprised to find Tortimer waiting for him. Upset at being ousted from his position as Mayor for not doing anything to fight against Tom Nook's corruption, Tortimer confronted Tom Nook about it. They had a deal where Tortimer let Tom Nook do his thing as long as Tom Nook ensured he stayed Mayor and got a small percentage of profit. Tom Nook explained that he realized he no longer needed the Mayor's protection since he was just a frail old man anyways and he decided he'd rather keep the money he was paying off Tortimer with. Ordering Tortimer to leave or he'd kill him, Tom Nook sat down in one of the hair dryer chairs brandishing an axe to warn Tortimer to leave. Tortimer went to the exit but then informed Tom Nook that he had rewired the place to kill him and flicked the light switch causing the hair drying chairs to send out an electrical shock which fried Tom Nook to death.

Although the villagers were happy that Tom Nook was so quickly removed under Mayor Khushrenada's reign, he was concerned that no one knew who killed Tom Nook. Plus, they still had to find the rest of the member's of the Nookling empire who even at this moment were regrouping and conspiring to get the revenge on the villagers now that the conflict had turned bloody. And with Tom Nook dead, another group of merchants were forming their own secret organization to take control of Shangri-La.

I believe the finest of all fisherman are always looking to catch a shark.  Any shark will do...when I was a wee little lad I went fishing.  Now, I was a small kiddo so I wasn't looking for no shark, but I did want a nice dinner.  My father helped me and I reeled in a nice salmon.  We of course ate it up with the rest of the catch.  It was might fine.  Remembering my father is something I enjoy doing.  These days these city folk are running around doing work and never appreciate their family.  Why when I was young, family is all you had.  No games to play...except games with your imaginations and friends.  Video games bah who needs them.

What, oh yeah that fish you are looking for a saw shark.  I just know it.  You look like a manly lad, wanting a name for himself.  Saw Shark is what you desire.

Well it seems the cheater alarm system was on the fritz this time.  I think my brother and I worked out the bugs *mostly ants and a cockroach… so it’s good as new…. Never mind that burning smell…

I know… I know… “Resetti, why did you have to push Insanolord so hard…” well rules are rules and I warned him and tried to help him multiple times, but some folks just don’t listen they got dirt clods in their ears or somethin’. I mean…

What, you wanna fix all the things that go wrong? You wanna snap your fingers and erase your screw-ups? Sure, who don't? I mean, pssshh, I wish I hadn't dropped outta dental school.
Good money there.  I REALLY wish I hadn't washed my white boxers with my red sweatshirt...BUT things happen to people who don’t follow the RULES…  they’re all we got in this god forsaken city…
Look I’m sorry for losing my temper back then and I’ll try to keep it in check goin’ forward, but people just don’t respect the workin’ mole anymore.


Tell ya’ what any o’ you have any good ideas to clean up this town…  anybody…  didn’t think so… so until I’m takin’ a dirt nap I’m gonna keep at it til’ all these CHEATERS get inline.  Speakin’ of which I’m getting tired, it’s been a long day… so  please… I’m beggin you don’t make me come out again for a while, and at least we can sleep a little easier now that that Nook fellow's been delt with, too bad about that blue bird he seemed like a nice fellow.

One last thing... don’t forget to brush your teeth before bed.  What are you a bunch of ANIMALS?

Wow!  Old man Tortimer is more spry than I thought!  I'd be worried if I were one of you out of shape fellows like my friend the museum owl who sits and looks at dirt all day, honk!  For any of my scared friends, feel free to ask me for protection from the mean old turtle. 
 
As for the fishing contest, I think the Zebra Turkeyfish is the obvious answer! Now where's my prize?

Gosh, slushie, how about a Crucian Carp? Those can taste awesome when caught fresh from the water.


Great job catching that Nook character. Never trusted him much. I think he was a racist against humans because he always seems to charge higher prices for their homes versus our animal homes.


Though I'm not sure a 2-for-1 trade was a good enough deal. I'm going to go get myself a mocha and review the rules some more, I would like to know if this bought us some time from mafia attacks.


While the Ressetti guy is obnoxious and his machine woke me in the middle of the night, I think he means well with his contraption.

Ah, it is Eugene. Yeah, buddy! What fish speciman have you caught? Why this is a most impressive Shark. I'd say it measures about 233.50 inches. Unfortunately, this does not set a new record. For you information, Khushrenada holds the record with his correct submission of the fish I'm looking for. In the meantime, I'm just going to devour this Shark. zzz.... znnnNNRK! Oh dearest me! my sleep schedule is all sorts of out of synchronization now! That is to say, I am now waking up FAR too early! the most distressing bit is that the town is hosting a fishing contest that's purpose is NOT to catalog the various specimen who live in the rivers, brooks, beaches, and islands of fair Shangri-la!

... I do suppose I do wish to enter, however. I do not have a fishing rod of my own, but I do have the one donation that has the whole aquarium to herself. I refer to none other than...



 




the majestic Carp! These oily fish from the Cyprinidae family of fish are freshwater bottomfeeders, often living off of the algae and plankton that accumulate on the bottom of rivers! The average Carp grows to about 31 centimeters in it's lifespan. this particular specimen was donated to the museum in it's adolecence, and has grown to a whole 33 CM! I can also personally assure you that it has had no garbage or pollutants in it's diet for the past several years of it's life! Please, take it as a token of good will!

I would also like to Vote Pokepal148 and apologise for my crass mistake yesterday of mistaking poor grammar and gamer taunts with journalistic intent. Clearly such grafitti would only be possible from the mind of the sort of vagrant who wears reflective shades in the middle of the night!... in America.
