Author Topic: What's with the recent forced theme change? (Read 39386 times)

BlackNMild2k1 · « **on:** February 17, 2014, 03:31:20 PM »

I noticed that starting yesterday we are all forced to use the "Core" default theme instead of whatever theme we had previously selected.

Is this a permanent thing that we should get used to, or a temporary change/oversight that will be fixed eventually?

Stratos · « **Reply #1 on:** February 17, 2014, 04:10:45 PM »

Agreed. I liked the other theme better. Will we be getting more options in the future?

Oblivion · « **Reply #2 on:** February 17, 2014, 04:45:43 PM »

Joke's on you, I use default.

Khushrenada · « **Reply #3 on:** February 17, 2014, 05:04:23 PM »

Put me down as one who used the Babylonian theme. Apparently, those in the know knew to use it.

BlackNMild2k1 · « **Reply #4 on:** February 17, 2014, 05:05:09 PM »

I don't remember what I was using, but it wasn't this ugly "core" theme.

Ceric · « **Reply #5 on:** February 17, 2014, 05:55:40 PM »

I don't know why but I still blame Super.

UncleBob · « **Reply #6 on:** February 17, 2014, 08:39:30 PM »

Put me in the "Doesn't like Core Theme" column.

Shaymin · « **Reply #7 on:** February 17, 2014, 09:38:45 PM »

Hopefully my NWR Gold theme comes back soon.

Oblivion · « **Reply #8 on:** February 17, 2014, 10:10:04 PM »

I don't even know how to change the theme. I love the way it is with default.

Mop it up · « **Reply #9 on:** February 17, 2014, 10:32:51 PM »

Count me in as someone who was using an alternate theme. I hope we can get some options again soon.

nickmitch · « **Reply #10 on:** February 18, 2014, 11:50:10 PM »

Joining the "preferred the other theme options" party.

Phil · « **Reply #11 on:** February 19, 2014, 02:27:37 AM »

The tricolor theme was the one I was using. I prefer that to this standard one.

Mythtendo · « **Reply #12 on:** February 20, 2014, 03:27:50 AM »

I have to admit that I don't like this default theme, tried to change it as soon as I registered.

BlackNMild2k1 · « **Reply #13 on:** February 20, 2014, 11:46:46 AM »

Hey MegaByte, care to comment?

Is this a permanent change? Or can we look forward to getting options back soon?

Stratos · « **Reply #14 on:** February 20, 2014, 08:17:17 PM »

What happened to "If you like your theme, you can keep your theme; if you like your moderator, you can keep your moderator"?

Vote Khush, 2015!

Khushrenada · « **Reply #15 on:** February 20, 2014, 08:24:47 PM »

It died when everyone's favorite and the greatest staff member, Bloodworth, left this site for different opportunities. Once we couldn't keep our favorite mod, everything went downhill from there. :(

Also, I'm running for office? Eh, I guess I'm always considered to be running for office or that I've never stopped. At least this time I didn't have to declare it myself. Must finally be winning over the people. I guess an unstoppable wave of support is beginning at last. More power, here I come!

Khushrenada · « **Reply #16 on:** February 20, 2014, 08:26:57 PM »

As soon as I posted that last message, the theme changed back to the way I like it!

Thanks mods! (Most like ~~Megabyte~~ TYP. Although maybe I shouldn't be thanking you since it seems this was your fault in the first place. Hmmmm.) Maybe things are back on the upswing after all!

EDIT: I was wrong. (which is rare, amirite?) It isn't called the Babylonian theme. Must have been another forum. It is called the hardCore theme. And there are 48 other cool people who use it because they got class.

TheYoungerPlumber · « **Reply #17 on:** February 20, 2014, 08:27:35 PM »

Sorry guys, erroneous checkbox action on my part on the admin page while trying to fix something else. Core should be available now.

UncleBob · « **Reply #18 on:** February 20, 2014, 09:06:36 PM »

Yay. Funny, there's only 50 people who use this theme. ;)

Bring back PGC Purple theme of Doom!

Stratos · « **Reply #21 on:** February 21, 2014, 05:38:41 PM »

Ugh, please don't do the purple.

Thanks for fixing the theme issue though!

Mop it up · « **Reply #22 on:** February 21, 2014, 08:20:30 PM »

Woo, glad it's back.

The Babylon theme is an older theme that we used to have but was removed a couple years back for reasons that I don't think were ever explained (or I just missed it). I liked that one even more than this current one, but this one's still better than the default.
