I am interested…but you have to be careful with your special abilities…and number of killers…hmmm…

You could easily have them do different powers.  Like:   The Flood can paralyze one player each night.  Those players do not get their action or vote for the day.  Having two players like that would not be breaking the game.

Then you can have a single flood member that is the killer.  The idea is that the flood is like a rival gang that wants everything to burn.

Couple things to point out which I didn't do since my focus was on the JP Mafia.

1. You have members joined as myself and you. That's fine except who's hosting? You can't be a player and a host. If you are hosting, that makes only one player which would be me.

2. There is a thread for future mafia games which you know about as you suggested a Halo theme in it already. In that thread, Stratos has already been given the next game to host. If you want to do a Halo game, it would have to come after that. People will most likely be unwilling to join up in this game knowing it isn't the next one.

3. I suggest you get some more Mafia experience under your belt first so that you will be better able to present a Halo Mafia plan in the future. Right now, you haven't given any indication that it is properly thought out.

Thus, patience grasshopper. In time, these forums will be yours. For now, pace yourself.

This was your first mafia game, Lucario. I'd suggest, like Khush before, playing a few more before you leap into hosting unless you have prior experience on another board. PM me your rule ideas and if I have time this weekend I'll give you some feedback on them.

I think I played 4 games before hosting.  2 of the games I died first or second turn.  The 3-4 I actually got to play.  I never understood the balance of the game until Khush actually PMed me during a game and used me to his benefit.  But it wasn't bad.  He taught me a lot...but he definitely had an agenda.

The secret to hosting is keeping the game balanced, but also making it unique to the theme.

Oh really? What was this agenda you speak of?!? Being nice to a new player and assisting them? Helping spread the joy of mafia games?

I refuse to be so unscrupulously slandered for actions of such goodwill.

I DEMAND SATISFACTION!

I played about a dozen games before i ripped up the rulebook and did Mario Kart Mafia.

But it was exhausting.

Any game with items can get confusing. I remember using spreadsheets to track items coins, stars and powers in the Mario Mafia Party. I believe I even made a mistake at one point but it had not gone beyond one player who was gracious enough to accept the correction and overlook the issue. But those games can easily be the most exciting so I feel the effort as host pays off in the long run.

All of those things…and having a person you can trust to help with your votes and bandwagons.  It was not at all a bad thing.  But you taught me an important lesson.  If someone talks to you in PMs….they have an agenda.  Sometimes those agendas lineup with yours.  Sometimes not.  Luckily with me…we were on the same side the first game.  The second game I think you were mafia…I think.

Anyway, I didn't mean to sound like I was ungrateful or thought you had evil intent.
