I watched Doctor Strange with my daughter.
She enjoyed this one. At first she whined that she had already seen it, but once it started and she realized that she didn't remember hardly anything, she got into it pretty quickly. It also helped that as with most of the other movies, I'm explaining what's going on for her, especially during the dialog heavy scenes.... sort of summarizing the importance of the context of the scene so she can continue to follow the story.
She was kinda taken back at first when she didn't understand visually what was going on, like when the Ancient One knocked Strange out of his own body, but once I explained in a way she understood, she was equally awed at the next part where they sent him on an inter-dimensional acid trip.
We found most of the humorous scenes funny, like when he was stealing books from the library, and reading to himself in his sleep, then she found it funny when he was running in place in the NY Sanctum, just before he got the cape. Also the part where he locked the badguy in the desert, and then was fighting with the cape over where to go.
Her most favorite parts where when the cape was trying to wipe Strange's face off "Stop it", and the time loop at the end where Strange made Dormamu make a choice. She thought it was crazy to watch him rewind life, and also to watch strange die over and over and over and over and over again.
I think she got most excited though at the 1st post credit when Thor showed up. She was eager to watch that movie. I told her Thor Ragnarok would come up soon, but we got 2 movies ahead of that. GotG 2 and SM:H. All movies we've seen recently and that I know she enjoyed thoroughly.
