Nothing I can join in through a 3DS. *Grumble Grumble*

Voted for crystal bearers anyway.

Sure... you can't join in, so you punish everyone else?  That's low.  ;)

I went with FFCC since I only have it and WSR, and I haven't really played any of FFCC (I got it for $5 new a couple years back and barely touched it) while I don't really look forward to a lengthy discussion of WSR.  Given it's now largely overlooked history as a major Wii game announced before launch, it's development hell, and then whatever the heck it turned into, it would be a great game I think to hear about in depth.  The other 2 sound like they would make a good retroactive discussion as well so come on anything but WSR.

Development hell? Announced before launch? Um, no on both. Yes they went back and put some tech demos into the game, but the actual game was not announced until 2008. It would be like saying Pikmin and Super Mario Galaxy were announced in 2000 because the Super Mario 128 tech demo turned into them.

Came here after listening to to the latest podcast.

Cool, I own and like all of these games. I haven't beaten Pandora's Tower yet, but I think it would be a great choice for winner for the sake of supporting Xseed and spotlighting what will be one of the Wii's most overlooked very good (I hesitate to say great as I'm only about half done) games. Also, this would encourage me to finish it.

Wii Sports resort, as a previous poster said, would be a great opportunity to go over the release of motion+ and then the success of each mini game, maybe comparing it to the impact of the original Wii Sports. But as the game has no story, and as the game largely depends on multiplayer, it may not be the best pick to have a conversation about. Ironically, I just found my last 'i' in flyover mode while the podcast was wrapping up.

Crystal Chronicles I've beaten and replayed. It's very good, great music, some great visuals, a couple odd mini games. I cheesed my way through the combat, but if you try you can make it more interactive.

Prince of Persia I have respect for as it is its own game apart from PS360 (including the original I don't think is that big of a benefit now that the IMHO superior SNES version is on Wii VC). I suppose I found it to be a little bit of a waggle fest though in combat. Didn't really care about the Prince's character. But neat platformey game, sure.

I really liked Pandora's Tower when I played through it in May.  I wanted to hear people talk about it.  It's got my vote.

Wii Sports Resort feels like the odd one out here, and I was wondering why. Then I read the comment about how these are overlooked Wii games, and I scratched my head. I'd be interested in seeing the argument that Wii Sports Resort is an overlooked game, especially considering how many there are on the Wii.

As for me, I have three of these, with Pandora's Tower being the one I lack. I'm waiting for the $20 sweetspot, which it hasn't reached yet, that I've seen. I have completed Crystal Bearers, but there's a New Game + type of feature that I didn't do, and wouldn't mind going back to give that a shot. I've played most of the games in Wii Sports Resort, but only once or twice, and never solo, so I wouldn't mind trying that either. The only part of Forgotten Sands I have played is the original PoP bonus game.

Hm, what to choose...

I'm not at all surprised by the results of this retroactive poll.  With an operation rainfall game in the mix, the popular choice should have been pretty clear.

I'm a little bit surprised at how poorly Prince of Persia did (supposed to be a pretty solid game) and how well Wii Sports Resort did... but not surprised by the winning selection.

Eh, still pretty happy though. Not what I voted for but will be a good game to play and discuss.

Had I not already played The Forgotten Sands I probably would have voted for it. It's a really fun game (particularly for me, as it's the first and only polygonal POP game that I've played).

Thanks for voting! I expect Wii Sports Resort to show up in a Second Chance poll soon, though it'll be up against very different competition. For those who asked, this wasn't strictly an "overlooked" theme but rather "under-discussed" and even that is loose. I just thought Resort would be an unusual and interesting game to revisit, for all the reasons that have been noted by others in this thread.

Unlike pokepal, I haven't actually heard much about Pandora's Tower, so it's no big deal to me because it'll be interesting to hear RFN's diverse opinion set discuss it.

I remember James talking about it a bit on the Podcast, but I didn't think they discussed it beyond that.  Maybe i'm mistaken.

Wow, I totally misread those results on my phone earlier. FFCC The Crystal Bearers is the actual second-place winner! A nice spurt at the end for it, too.

Well, I guess I'm sitting out on this RetroActive as well. If Crystal Bearers had won, it would have spurred me to actually play my copy of the game.  However, I got halfway through the European version of Pandora's Tower and completely lost interest in it.  I don't see myself starting over in the NA version anytime soon.

I signed up just to vote for The Forgotten Sands, my favourite of all the Prince of Persia games. It lost.

But, I just played Pandora's Tower a couple months ago, so I'll have something to talk about.
