Gamecube shows up in Fox Trot.

The Gamecube was mentioned in Tuesday's strip. Its seems the author has an affinity for Nintendo since the N64's controller makes it appearence quite often in the same strip.

i noticed that, too.  i found it odd, because in previous foxtrot strips, he'd use made-up consoles/games, with the name being a combination of several titles (i.e. doomathon and gamestation).
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

I remember another one (printed 3 aeons and 1 lifetime ago) where the mother made a list of non-violent/educational video games. I remember two, both of which are parodies of Nintendo franchises.

numba1:  Eternal Lightness: (I don't remember if it had a subtitle)
numero2-o: Resident Goodness
I think there were a few more but those just about did it for me. Needless to say, the kiddos were eXXXtremely dissappointed with their mothers list.

Now that I think of it, I think one of the others was a parody of Tomb Raider. Oh well, so much for games only on THE BIG N.

Again?? Bill Amend has gotta be the coolest cartoonist, and the only gamer cartoonist. A couple days ago they were talking about how much money MS looses on the XBox, too.

I read a lot of Fox Trot, and actually Bill Amend really mentions Nintendo a lot.  Jason always plays "nintendo" not video games (who doesn't), and he will combine some games names such as once it was Super Earthworm Mario Country 3, or something a long that lines.  I do remember reading about the Cube getting mentioned when one of the kids wanted to play.

Here's another comic strip that talks about GameCube.  I don't know if he's as into the Cube as Bill Amend, but it was pretty cool to see it none the less.

Franky- Or Amend's fictional console the Jupiter 64 Gamestation, a combination of the N64, Playstation, and Saturn.

I never understood comic strips. They just arn't funny. Midly funny at best. Never heard of that one specifically, if you asked me what a fox-trot was it was some kinda dance from the 20's.
