Topic: Nintendo Stealing "Their" Games!

This is the thread discussing future melt downs and watching everyone go Kong **** bananas.


As far as I can tell, Nintendo is more serious about 3rd party exclusive content and collaborations then it has ever been. I mean it seems like they must at this point to avoid super droughts that are happening even now. Not to make light of past collaborations but spotting the bill for a game like Bayonetta 2 is just something I'm very happy to see Nintendo do and I am fully expecting more.


The list so far is:


1 - Bayonetta 2
2 - Sonic Lost World


Both of these games(yes even Sonic) caused a ship storm. They got people talking about the Wii U and more negatively than ever hahaha. Enough of these will undoubtedly sway some of that negative opinion and I'm pretty sure more of these exclusive deals are in the works, but which ones? What is the next game that Nintendo is going to "steal" that is going to crash boards, start petitions and just make everyone go Kong Ship Bananas?

I wouldn't be surprised if we see an exclusive Persona game. Maybe not even Persona, but definitely something from Atlus besides SMTXFE.

Realistically, a console Tales game.

The Internet would explode if Nintendo locked up GTA6.

Well it depends.  What games out there were critical darlings with a small but vocal fanbase and did not live up to sale expectations (meaning it was expected to reach 2 million sales and only reached 1 million, not like Tomb Raid where it reached over 5 million and that still was not enough)?

It seems both of these games they've grabbed were in need of help.  Bayonetta 2 probably is not made without Nintendo jumping in to publish it.  Sonic has been on some rough times recently and this game may not get made without their moneyhat either (also, there could be another Sonic in the works for PS4/720 a la Wii getting Colors and PS360 getting the wereSonic game).

I be surprised if Nintendo catches any Exclusively Western game of any note.

I keep thinking for no reason what so ever that something Megaman would happen with Nintendo.

But yeah it's something western that would make everything go nuts. I suppose Kingdome Hearts 3 would really make people go bonkers. Final Fantasy is going the Sonic route in quality right? Do people still care? I know there was a FF announced a long time ago that still haven't come out. Of that was Wii U exclusive I could see people caring enough to cry about it.

Its weird to see people complain about two games that are getting development help from nintendo and will probably be commerical failures either way. I mean Bayonetta barley sold on the PS3/360 so i'm not expecting it too do much on wii U. (Not that it matters since this was Greenlit for perception). Sonic games always sale more on nintendo consloes and colors sold as much as generations I believe. Still if this is a fall game i'm not sure if the instal base is there and if 3d mario is fall than Lost world am cry.

Here is a list of games that I think will be made into Wii U exclusives:

• Vanquish 2
• The House of the Dead: Overkill 2
• No More Heroes 3 or another Suda 51 game.
• Dino Crisis 4 or a new Resident Evil

Shenmue 3 or Chrono Trigger 2 or Final Fantasy 7 Remake. The internet would be crashed for weeks.

Both of these games are Sega. I think it shows Sega doesn't want/know how to market the game/characters and is leaving it up to Nintendo. We're not going to see any major 3rd party franchise get locked up on the Wii U. I'd love it if Nintendo showed some initiative and locked up some offering by a major development house, but whatever.

You are thinking of Final Fantasy Versus XIII which was the one most western fans were excited for based on snippets of gameplay that were seen.  Rumor is that Versus XIII has been changed to XV and will be exclusive to the PS4.  It is believe that is the FF that Square mentioned at the Sony PS4 reveal conference.

And yes, if that was exclusive to Wii U, the internet would explode.

I'm surprised that there have been no Kingdom Hearts games for the Wii or Wii U. I'd like an HD collection of the first few titles.

There are a lot of "what ifs?" but what's plausible? I feel like we are going to get at least one more this E3. Who ever guesses right wins something from me. And things from me are cool! Rules are you only get 2 guesses and you have to stand by your guess by June 9th.

I can't see Wii u getting much support. Both the PS4 and next Xbox will be roughly the same in terms of architect, meaning in order to build for the Wii u companies will need a seperate team. This is the risk of releasing a console without looking at the market and launching so earlier.

I think the best guesses have to be somewhat nitch games/series that have cult followings.  I don't really see Nintendo pull off a "steal" of a major franchise unless they are willing to really throw out money.  Nitch franchises would be cheaper on their end yet still cause an uproar on the Internet boards.
