It may be so. If you recall the northern Desert lands that the Geredo live in, the only male Geredo is their King. In OOT, that King was Gannondorf. But who was his father? My guess is that when there is no King, the Gerado move around the country, and find a... father.

That or else there are some males way out in the desert that no one ever bothered mentioning. Or every hundred years one Gerudo woman spontaneously becomes pregnant (rather unfair

The thing I want to know is if the Zelda games go in order from:

OoT
MM
WW
LttP
LoZ
LoZ II: AOL

Then wouldn't there be at least three or four male Gerudos? Well I guess my theory is Agahimn and Wizard for AOL where shades of Gannon since there are hints, but I suppose one could also argue they are male Gerudos. Most likely the male Gerudo is either created by cermonial sex with a Hylian (Hyrulian) or they get together and cermonially call up magic and create a male Gerudo every one hundred years.

does the phrase, conveniant paralell universes, sound familiar to anyone ^_^ the plot holes and story conflicts would be way too numerous for the zelda series to have any form of continuity aside from 1 game haveing a relation to a previous one. (MM and now WW aside)

So where do the oracle games go? My current theory is that they go sometime before or after Links Awakining.(which takes place after Lttp.) His clothing style in the art for the games are Lttp-style. Also, wasn't Link traveling in a ship that got wreked in LA? He could have been traveling the world at the time, and stops off at different places.

I could have sworn i read somewhere that Wind Waker was the last Zelda game in the timeline. It makes sense too, in Wind Waker, everything that existed in the previous game (OOT, LTTP, MM etc.) has been "destroyed" and replaced with ocean, it seems that Wind Waker is set in hyrule, but just that Hyrule is underneath it, underneath all the water. Unless the water mysteriously evaporated, i dont see how LTTP can be after wind waker if its set in hyrule.

Unless LTTP is set underwater!

I think that WW is the last game in the timeline to date. I don't see why Nintendo would be going in circles with it. I find it best to just not ponder it.

I believe that IF LttP does really come after Windwaker, it is the land that Tetra and Link set out to find at WW's end, of course it is renamed Hyrule, which might make sense considering LttP's made doesn't hardly resemble OoT's Hyrule.

I could go into a big creative speil, however, I will refrain....

exactly...and remember Ganon is a pig in the other zeldas.....and there are no Gerado...or are there...i beleive the gerado women are then witches.. remember ganon was raised by the witch sisters...perhaps when they wereyounger they lookedl iek traditional gerado women.

you know it be cool if they did a backstory game to ocairna of time...talsk about links father...ganondorf asa young boy, king zora, durania, the sheikah...

Um, the Zelda stories aren't supposed to fit together. They are made to provide a game to work with, but unfortunately you find all of your answers because they don't exist.

I'm not sure whether I agree, things seem to fit together relatively well, even though were not positive on how. Also, Shigeru Miyamoto himself said that they have a kind of master script that tells how each game fits together, their order, ect. However, he also said that they pay little attention to this guide in the making of the actual Zelda games. So there is an order, will they ever release it? Or will the games eventually let us know? I'm not for sure. If you would like to see the article where he said it, I will be happy and try to track it back down, though I couldn't tell you where I read it, I do know that somewhere in my temp files it will give me the record on the site's name.

Of course, Rymir, they want to make it seem like there's a timeline. There are about fifty threads in this forum that were wasted trying to solve the paradox of the Zelda timeline. Unless Nintendo intends to close the Zelda franchise (highly unlikely), WW is the last game in the series. I'm pretty darn sure that they don't want to repeat themselves. That works well with movies, but not video games.

Well the NES Zelda games would always be last in the timeline because you just flat out kill Ganon. I really think it's pretty useless to try to connect them all though. They're different tales based on the same general framework, but I don't think Nintendo is concerned enough about story to try to tie things together. They just make the game and work the story into that.

If you read a sign in OoT, or maybe it's a person who tells you it (or maybe even the instruction manual), you learn that once a year the Gerudo women go to Hyrule Castle Town to look for potential mates, so all Gerudos are half Hylian (or at least half human), including Ganondorf.

And as for what order Zelda games go in, it depends on how you look at it. If they are all connected, this is the generally accepted timeline (dashes indicate a new Link):
-Ocarina of Time
Majora's Mask [alternated timeline]
-Wind Waker
-Link to the Past
Link's Awakening
-Legend of Zelda
Adventure's of Link
I have absolutely no clue where the Oracles go, but I assume it would be after LoZ/AoL and involve the same Link.

If you look at the Zelda timeline as a series of parallel universes (which I think Miyamoto himself endorses), then there is no real order, you just categorize gaidens together.

Well if you believe the creators, the storylines of the Zelda games do connect, however, I don't believe they will ever reveal how unless maybe the whole Zelda series ends... other than that I guess it is best to just enjoy the games and not pay attention to the rest. (or believe what you want and don't spend your time arguing it to others... lol)

Oh, and by the way, Ganondorf and Ganon are spelled with only one "n", not 2- the spelling of Gannon in LoZ was a mistranslation.

The "All your base belong to us" quote is from a badly translated Sega Genisis game, but the actual quote in the game was "All your base are belong to us"!

As was "Someone set up us the bomb!". Hehe- another funny mistranslation in the original LoZ- instead of saying the Triforce OF Courage, or Triforce OF Power, etc, they say The Triforce with Courage and the Triforce with Power.
