oh sweet lord no post that I have ever read has brought as much laughter to me as your own, Cube323, mainly in part due to what must be a misunderstanding ... do I really come off as an anti-nintendo minion in my post? My parents were cable TV and the NES. Don't try to pull this anti-Nintendo stuff on me just because I feel that Nintendo missed some opprotunities (this isn't a cry to leave me alone because "I'm entitled to my own opinion" .. this is the plain truth).
I am dissapointed to admit that I have not yet had the honor to play FF: CC and that all I can offer are my impressions based upon the videos and hands-on impressions that I have seen/read, but already I am trying to fit the game into my budget. Shoot, I am buying a second Game Boy Advance just so my friends and I can play through the game with my little brother (thus having a party of four). I'm spending $150 on this game just to get the best possible experience possible.. i am more than hyped up for it.. I even have had daydreams about what Square-Enix could bring to this game... and having not played too many Square games (since I can't find any of the NES/SNES FF games at any EB Games/Funcoland), I am merely stating that I hope that Square-Enix finds two other good features to have displayed as information exclusive to certain players to really make the game feel like an epic quest, where one player is the leader and one knows monster's attributes and the other two have some other special features (like finding secret places/shortcuts and something else cool)
as to Wario World: I am just dissapointed that it isn't two player, something that I never thought about until I was thinking of battletoads recently and spawned a thought that someone should make a new battletoads, and then i thought "hey Wario World would be perfect as a two player game" ..... I'm still looking to renting/buying this game (if i get a job at summer's end then i will buy it ASAP)
I have the right to excersise my thoughts (so long as I do not break the rules.. or at least it should be this way, just wait till I conquer the world) and I wish to remain on these boards, seeing as I visit here for Nintendo News Nightly.
as to the Game Boy More Advanced .. I believe that major announcements should be made just before the PSP hype trains gets really big .. I am obviously not a business expert, but to me this sounds like a good idea, so that Nintendo cuts the hype before it gets too far out of control. However, I have learned not to count on Nintendo to have a majorly exciting announcement or business plan to counter the enemies' tactics. This is my method of keeping myself from getting too excited about things, so that I am more surprised with any announcement made. I really don't want prtable games going 3D just yet.. I would rather get a really nice and brand new 2D Super Mario platformer at the launch of the next Game Boy. Also, wireless connectivity would be cool just so long as the signals can't get too mixed up and whatnot. Some threads talked of having catridges as well as some optical media so that the backward's compatability remains, seeing as that would at least give some advantage to Nintendo (hopefully). I honestly hate Sony for wanting to bring handhelds to 3D and I hate Microsoft for trying to score more cash by joining the game industry (I have a semi-subpar entertaining anecdote about a true XBox moment I had some weeks ago)
[edit] its sorta funny how i get worked up over little things... but it was late when i posted this so that there is no offense taken by anyone
