Frankly LttP just wouldn't work in 3D because the Puzzles and like were made with the top down view in mind.  Now Zelda 2 in 3D would work.

A Link to the Past in 3D wouldn't be A Link to the Past anymore. However, A Link to the Past remake with HD sprites in Wind Waker's art style is...

Twilight princess was going for a gothic artstyle. Not a realistic one

I never had a HD Windwaker on my mind. It just never occurred to me that anything would improve if it were to be made HD. Catering to those that didn't get to play Windwaker the first time round due to the low install base is the right way to go about it though.

Oooh, 2.5D remake of Zelda 2 would be an instant buy for me.
