I know it's a day late, but I think they make a very important point that must be addressed on the front page about Gaming Journalism. starting afew ways down with the title "LIAR" by Gabe.

(just in case you don't know how the get there, and if you if you missed it the title comic is called

"The Buddy System."

Which perfectly reinforces the matter. Of being mismatched for duties.

The gist is that no one truly takes video games seriously and we are and always have been at the mercy of jokers who spout out "hackneyed catch phrases," and call that gaming journalism.

I knew EGM was making fun of gamers when they called Silent Hill 3 a "Terror Horror" game.

(Just check out EGM issue 165 (April 2003) with the review of the Legend of Zelda the Wind Waker. It has Link featured on the cover, page 64. Look under "genre:")

Over all Gabe takes apart a review of a game from Gamers.com and exposes facts that went unsaid (and clearly unplayed).

After reading what Gabe said continue down for the rest and it should all come full circle.

Then read the comic. (I also think that it is relative to all that talk about "educating gamers from the folks at this web site)

The same review of the game can be found in the latest EGM as well with Rebel Strike on the cover, page 113 beside the big Saiyuki anime ad.

I think it's an important read.
