Did I miss something? Where's "Game Zero"
« on: May 20, 2003, 11:10:34 AM »
Game Zero was one of my biggest anticipated titles at E3, and I haven't heard anything about it.  Did I miss anything?  I know N-Space makes Giest, but the only thing that "Game Zero" COULD be if it WAS shown, is Giest.  But I hope it isn't that.. though Giest looks great, it would be greater to have Giest and another amazing game, hopefully Game Zero.

So has anyone heard anything about it?  Did I miss an anouncement or something?

It wasn't shown at E3.  It seemed to have been pulled from the lineup at the last minute from what I gather.  Maybe they weren't able to produce a demo before the deadline.

It's more likely that they pulled it so they could show it off at Spaceworld.  Spaceworld has always been more important to Ninty than E3...That would also explain where Mario 128 is.

Oh c'mon folks. If you chase the rumors, it's your own fault if you're disappointed later.  No Game Zero, no Pilotwings, but nobody officially said they'd be at E3 anyways.

Yeah, I guess like every year, IGN has proved beyond all shadow of doubt that they hire freaking retards.  Well done.

Relax, I'm pretty sure Game Zero showing at E3 was a possiblity, and IGN did verify that.  Yet, it seems some of you misread it and thought it was going to show at E3 for sure...

I'm looking forward to Spaceworld more than E3...

we'll get to see more exclusive Ninty ops like game zero, mario 128, pilotwings, etc
and much more on the current Ninty ops shown at E3
.

It has been confirmed. Miyamoto said more info on the game (other than that it is in development at Factor 5) would be shown later this year, not at E3.

EDIT: I'm talking about Pilotwings by the way...

Well, assuming they aren't putting words into Miyamoto's mouth...

Then, Miyamoto confirmed that Factor 5 is developing another exclusive title for GameCube and that, in fact, the company is working very closely with the folks at EAD in Japan.

Last week reports surfaced that Factor 5 was secretly in development with a new Pilotwings title for GameCube. IGNcube was later able to verify that news as true.

Miyamoto said that more on the game would be revealed soon. So in other words, readers shouldn't expect to see much on this one at this year's show.

"Game Zero" is the game being developed by Goldeneye's former creator, is it not?  Give it time and Pilotwings GC, Mario 128, the Next Real Zelda and a couple of other big suprises should show their faces very soon.

Actually the next Zelda will follow the same look at Wind Waker.  If you want a "real" Zelda(I still don't know why people say that.  How in the world can a FANTASY game be REAL) then you will most likely have to wait for Ninty's new system.

First I wasn't implying that the next Zelda was realistic looking.  I was actually saying that games like "Tetra's Trackers" and "Four Swords" are not true Zelda games.  Before the next generation of hardware hits, there will be an all new, full length Zelda adventure.

Also its not set in stone that the next title will be "anime-inspired," like the current Wind Waker is.

Ah I see how you put it now.  Sorry about that.  I see so many topics on other boards that say things like "I want a real Zelda" that it pisses me off.  I'm pretty sure Miyamoto(or some other Ninty higher-up) said in a recent interview that the next Zelda game would use the style of Wind Waker.

I actually hope the next Zelda is totally, %100 in the style of the Wind Waker.  After playing through the game twice, I have grown to realize that this is my all time favorite Zelda.  It may also be one of the best games ever made!

I love the anime-style.  Please Miyamoto, give me more, lol!
