Allow this week's episode to take you between time and space into a parallel dimension where things are similar yet shockingly different.

Neal, Patrick and Zach are first through the time gate, bringing with them stories of direct sequels to existing Pokémon games. Unbelievable, I know. The unlikely band of heroes then goes on to discuss the games they most wish would receive proper sequels. Proving that inter-dimensional travel might just have some less than favorable side effects on the brain, Neal champions a Buck Bumble sequel. Yeah.

Emerging out of the portal through time next are Andy, Andrew and JP, who join Zach to talk about Resident Evil Revelations, the unexpectedly great 3DS exclusive. Slip into your most festive wetsuit and chew softly on a green herb while the boys have one final, thorough discussion about the game. If only they could have arrived from the future in time to prevent the unfortunate box misspelling...

The gate is closing, but before it disappears entirely, Scott and Nate slip through in search of Neal. Once reunited, the group sets out to rewrite history, starting with one simple fact: Chrono Cross is a very good game. "But how!?" you may wonder. Listen, and all will be unveiled.

I'd like to see Super Metroid 2, Stratosphere 2 (that's a game about piloting flying fortresses!) and Ninja Cop 2.

Something that's been on my mind since yesterday, I mentioned that I liked the new Abyss creatures but couldn't really pinpoint why they appealed to me. Upon reflection, I think it was due to the fact that every single enemy from RE5 was simply an African-themed photocopy of an enemy from 4. By the end of the game I was completely sick of Plagas and longed for a more classic style of undead creature, which this delivered nicely. Gotta say though, those shark-nosed things that pop out of the water near the bulkhead pumping station are possibly the most annoying thing in the whole franchise.

Not sure you clarify this as a "sequel" per se (more like a threequel), but I would love to see an new Battalion Wars game on the Wii U.

As his been the case lately, unfortunately, JP's audio track came out weird. Did my best to remove the noise, but there wasn't much I could do with it.

The sequel that I am looking most forward to is Sonic Chronicles 2. The first game was released back in the fall of 2008 and then Bioware has been quiet about the sequel ever since. There have been runours of them working on it, but I really hope that they announce a sequel at this year's E3 for the 3DS.

First off, internet fist bump for Zach and his Super Mario World position. You and I are part of the silent internet majority, Zach!

Second, as one of those who was very let down by Chrono Cross (second only to FF VII on the PS1-LetDownO'Meter), I'd be fine if it's never mentioned again. That's my vote. I was never that high on the battle system, and the characters and plot were both just awful. One plot correction by the by: the Reptites weren't brought back by the humans. They were future - Reptites (from the "Reptites Win!" ending of Trigger), brought back in time by the planet itself to defend itself from those Evil Humans Who Ruin Everything. Because the plot wasn't stupid enough just yet, you see.

The music in Cross was totally kick-ass, though.

Just you know, not that much because it is a PlayStation game. It does relate to a treasured SNES classic, though, so it is somewhat relevant.

I was in a different place than usual because I was home on break at the time, so that might have led to the noise somehow. Hopefully it doesn't happen again.

When Zach was talking about Metroid I was surprised when he said Metroid Prime 4. I'd figured he was going for Super Metroid 2, or maybe Metroid: Zero Mission 2. Also, I'm a little disappointed that when the subject of hating on Super Mario World was brought up my name didn't come up at all.

You could have someone else do it. Hell, have Retro do it. A Retro-developed 2D Metroid would be amazing, or have them do their own take on third-person Metroid, but I think yet another Prime isn't the right way to go.

I find it jarring how some people would so casually have the director of Super Metroid and Metroid: Zero Mission exiled from the series forever simply because of Other M. Let us not forget that the dialogue-driven, heavily guided Metroid Fusion was directly followed by the brilliant back-to-basics approach of Zero Mission. A similar return to form for Sakamoto remains a possibility in my mind (especially given Other M's reception), and potentially quite a desirable one. Of course, there are other developers who are capable of taking the series forward, but I'm not ready to write-off the idea of Sakamoto successfully returning to Metroid if he does so with the right priorities in mind (i.e. not: the Samus character, the narrative in general, CG cutscenes, hand-holding, etc.).

Eh. Fusion was chatty-happy too. It basically fortold Other M. Zero Mission is the way to go.

I think it's crazy how people hate on Other M so much. I absolutely LOVED the game, and I wasn't bothered by ANY of the things you guys complain about in the game. In fact, Other M is probably my second favorite Metroid game right behind Super Metroid.

But eh.. whatever. Agree to disagree and such.

Me too. The batshit crazy control scheme is one of the things I like the most, flipping the wii-mote and powering it up and all of that. Made some battles reeally visceral and intense. Found it very unique and satisfying. I wouldn't want a steady diet of it but I definitely enjoyed that game. I just wish the tiny wii-mote d-pad was a little kinder on my thumb.
