Sakurai confirms that the 3DS title will be ready to land later this March.

Production on Kid Icarus: Uprising is complete, Sora head Masahiro Sakurai confirmed.

As reported on the developer's Twitter account today, the title has gone gold, meaning the game is ready for mass production.

In the post, he also made sure to praise those who have worked on the project, and joked that he can finally rest on Saturday and Sunday.

I can't wait to see how this game turns out. It seems like it has the potential to be very good, or very bad....

That a final version of the game has been made and the game itself is ready for mass production.
It's not to be confused with RIAA "gold" certification for selling 500k units.

I think this game is going to pleasantly surprise people in terms of its content.

The controls? meh. Let's just say I think people will have to overcome the controls to get to that very enjoyable content.

Although it will do that too (hopefully).

YAAAAHOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

I was just in another forum discussing when this game might go gold! Can't wait to play it again but more importantly we'll have awesome super wrong(yet fun) rumors about Smash as well as little tidbits from Sakurai from time to time.

I think they could very well have a CG trailer ready for E3. No gameplay just some kind of teaser trailer showing a few new characters and some new concept behind the game.

Rare's no more, it's ceased to be, ... it's an ex studio.
